Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

ok, call me a cheeky cow, but i phoned the company up to ask for an "update", as it would help me decide if i should look for alternative work in the meantime (LIE ;-)) anyways, turns out, they are pretty sure they have some permanent vacancies coming up in new year and was i available!!! Oh yes said i, most definately... so anyone wondering .... ASK, keep your profile up, ring them, ask questions (i phoned and said could they please explain the pension options again as i think ive misunderstood them - i hadnt i just wanted to keep my name in their heads)

sooooooo come the new year, looks like i could be back to work - excited and scared all at the same time ;-)
