Well done loopy, that's great news & I hope you are feeling very proud of yourself.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

just an update, im still waiting for a position to become available, i think they said im 7th on the list. Now my question is... bearing in mind i have M.E. which im trying to ignore.

if i accepted a 13 week position with the POSSIBILITY of being kept on for another 13 weeks, if i were laid off i would be in a real muddle with benefits etc. SO....

I opted for the permanent position list, which as stated im 7th on the list, now... apparently, casual staff COULD be offered permanent IF there is no one on the permanent list (which there is).. no on will jump the list so im safe at no 7...... so do i take the casual and hope the 7th vacancy comes up before i get laid off, or do i sit safely with benfits until no 7 vacancy comes up?

If I were in your situation I think that I would take casual and hope a permanent or something else should come up. I thin kthat I would be so grateful to be well enough and able to work and be back in the normal world after having ME as it just seems to isolate you from other people.

I think you need some advice from a welfare benefits worker. IIRC it will NOT affect your benefits (I mean the reinstatement of your benefits of course) it you were to take a job and lose it within 13 weeks. But I am not an expert. Check this out with someone!
