Cheap FLight to New York - Book in advance - Clubcard vouchers???

Hi,
First time poster so please be gentle!!!
I want to take my husband to New York for his 30th Birthday which is October next year. I am looking for advice on the best way to do this as I seem to remember booking early is key. The earliest I can book is a year advance which is obviously soon.
I was wondering whether people thought I would be best to go ahead and book 2 flights now for then or are they likely to go down before they go up.
I also have around £200 in clubcard vouchers which would buy me airmiles for a flight so I am best to buy with them instead?
Are they any risk involved in booking so early??
Sorry so many questions!!!
Thank you in advance!!x

Impossible to say what air fares will do! I suggest you look at the fares on offer for various dates in the future (remember that flights around Christmas are more expensive than at other times) to get some idea whether the fares available now for travel in a year's time are a good deal or not.
As for your clubcard question, visit the BA site to get some idea how much they would save you if used as part-payment for your flights.
Do remember that the air ticket will end being only a small percentage of what a trip to New York will cost.0
