Sorry, but you do not have the faintest of a clue about the Mental Health Act.

One of the main reasons that I refuse to have anything to do with the medical profession is that I went in to see my GP in 1998, for a repeat prescription, and started telling him what was on my mind. Within 10mins, I was in a taxi with him going to the hospital where I was admitted without my permission into an Acute Psychiatric Ward. I was in there for 4 months - never being allowed out of the ward. You had no choices about anything, medication, food, anything!

Clearly it is you that has no idea about the MHA, or indeed the MCA. Things have come a long way since 1998, but as you choose to live in some fantasy world (how many AE's have you got on the go at the moment?) you cannot blame anyone but yourself.

Andyandflo, firstly, don't make assumptions on what people know or don't know!

If you were taken into hospital then you were ill. I can't carry on with answering your posts as I don't see the point as you won't listen to anyone and will twist whatever anyone tells you.

I wish you well and hope you get help for your illnesses that you say you have but are reluctant to seek help for.

As this thread is about DLA, you have had the answer to why you were turned down for DLA and what you need to do.;)

The sooner they bring in compulsory testing with ATOS for all current and future claims for DLA & AA the better. At least that way everyone will be treated the same irrespective of what medical evidence there is or isn't.

So you will see an ATOS doctor but not your GP? You really do make it up as you go along!

    No I do not!

My GP will more than likely either refer me to the Mental Health Unit again or at the very least put me on 'mind bending' drugs that affect the way you think and act.

The ATOS assessor is only there to assess my disabilities at that moment in time and will not attempt to treat me - that's not their job is it?

Who would you prefer to see then??

I don't really care who you see, I just wish you would stop posting utter rubbish on here.

You do realise that it is not only your GP who can recommend you are sectioned, if that is what you need?

no i was not a member of the public but served in afghanistan and iraq and was shot at daily and dont look for pats on the back or look for hero status as you seem to do..bottom line get your backside the doctors and the consultants and if they decide you need the meds then you need the meds...plenty of other people who are ill want help and would love the opportunity to be healed yet you refuse...as i said earlier GROW UP
Why is it ok for you to tell someone with mental health problems to "Grow Up?"

Would you tell someone going through chemo to stop whining about their hair falling out? Or someone with a broken leg...would you tell them to stop using crutches??

You dont tell someone who has mental health problems to "Grow Up" no matter what.
