I have just started buying clothes from ebay and so far have been pleasantly surprised! All clothes at a bargain and good condition. I will be placing a lot more clothes orders on ebay and only time will tell I suppose0

Unlike clothes in shops which may have been worn and returned or tried on by sweaty dirty people?
One of my friends was shopping in a high street shop the other day and couldn't use the changing room as someone had just had a no.2 in there.0 -

I always go for things discribed as new or unworn, however, just this week I purchased a pair of trousers for my DD which were discribed as 'mint condition', when they arrived they were covered in fluff and hairs and had a spill on the front!! I made the mistake of leaving the seller negative feedback, thats when my problems began, I have since had several threats from the seller to report me to ebay, the first saying that they would give me a £1 refund to remove my feedback, if not they would report me for acting against ebay policy, the second offering me a refund to remove the feedback, with the same threat.
I never asked for any kind of refund, however, I withdrew the feedback and they refunded me, and we agreed the matter resolved.
That was until I had a further email telling me that I must return the item to them at my expense. I that was never mentioned B4 I withdrew my feedback. As the item only cost £3.00 in the first place + postage, It would cost me £1.95 post to return the item and I live in a rural area with no post office, it would mean I would be out of pocket. So I have paid for the trousers again and will now take up the matter with ebay.
I would now leave neg feedback again, if you're able to.0 -

WTH?! That's just downright disgusting! I saw what you wrote and nearly hit the abuse button by mistake because I was so outraged and wanted to express my disgust!
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -

Was in TK Maxx a few months ago and SA said this has happened a couple of times in their changing rooms and used nappies are regularly found. Disgusting.0 -

I do think though that some of these large stores (TK Maxx tend to be out of town retail stores mainly) should provide toilets. There is a retail park near me that has a TK Maxx, Next, Boots. And no loos. By the time i've been round all these if i'm looking for a new outfit i'm generally bursting for the loo. (Although would NEVER go as far as the person mentioned above.)0 -

I've been quite lucky too with purchases with only a few items I've had problems with. I got a real bargain with a zebra print coat last year and was amazed at how great it actually was. If the seller had added a bit more detail to the description, they'd have had far more for it, I'm sure. On the down-side, one was an out-fit from a business seller and the items were described as BNWT but when they arrived, they looked second hand with just their own shop label tags attached. I've had some very musty damp smelling items of clothing and one was a woollen coat so I wasn't too pleased as it's harder to shift the smells of some materials. I only paid about £7 including postage so it wasn't a major thing and cheaper than I'd have got in charity shops near me.
Like many people here though, I always wash second hand clothes even if they look and smell clean. For items like the coat, I hang them outside for a few days and that does the trick.
I now look for items with lots of pics from all angles which include the tags and labels on the actual garment as well as price tags. If measurements aren't listed either, I ask for them because you never know if an item has shrunk or been stretched plus the variation of sizing these days between brands :undecided.0
