Advice needed!!!

Hi
I have had my car on ebay for the last 7 days. Loads of interest but nobody came to visit (which I asked for on the ad).
A girl who lives locally showed interest and bidded. She emailed me asking when she could collect the car if she won. I adviced that I needed to go to the DVLA to get my private plate changed over. She was happy and bidded again and won the auction.
We spoke several times and I advice the car be ready tomorrow (auction ended today).
But DVLA says it now takes max 5-7 working days for all the paper work to go through.
I contacted her that this was the case and she was happy and that she had a car to use in the mean time. I invited her to come and see the car but she said she would tomorrow. So I paid the £105 to put my number plate on retention.
I would have done this earlier but wasn't sure my car would sell and didn't want to waste the money and previously the DVLA did it the same day.
I have now had a text off her saying that she won't wait for the DVLA and she isn't paying the £200 deposit I have asked for. I have rang and all I got was her foul mouthed father.
My question is what can I do about this. I want my £200 to cover my charges for DVLA and ebay.
I would offer second chance offer but it was below my reserve.
I know I should get some of my ebay fees. BUt what about the DVLA fees.
THanks

Really, I think you should have waited for the deposit before spending any money.
Not sure there's anything you can do. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
I don't see as you have lost anything, You wanted to sell the car, you would have had to do the plates eventually, Sorry to say this but sounds to me like you had a lucky escape, they could have been conning you and were upset or nervous at waiting so long. Try not to think it as a loss.

Exactly what I was thinking. DVLA website said it was free. I was shocked when I got the desk and she asked for payment

Well I put the car on ebay to see if I could get the reserve. I didn't mind if it sold or not. I didn't expect it to reach the reserve especially when they didn't come to view. If it never sold I would have kept the car along with the plates.
No chance of getting the money back. Ebay will give her a pointless strike and I am out of pocket. Swear I was rolling in money.

I don't think there is anything that you can do about the DVLA fees.
Start an unpaid items dispute after 7 days so that you can reclaim your final value fees. You will be entitled for a free relist credit if you choose to relist the car. If the car sells the next time round eBay will refund you the insertion fee.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

So they only pay listing fees if it sells?

If the item sells the second time around then eBay will refund you whatever your insertion fee was.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

She was the only one to meet the reserve.
Sometimes when you relist you get MORE, it's happened to me a few times.
Good luck.0
