I must get back into this. Am living on ready meals and never cooking a decent meal or feeling full. Spending money I dont have on lunches at work rather take something in.

I'm slapping my own wrists here!
Magpie dont be too hard on yourself. Its all about improving. So if you plan just one or just meals thats an achievement. I rarely follow my meal plan to the letter - some days work is too tiring or feel a bit rough but one thing is certain its one less thing to worry about during the week.

Right here's mine in no particular order:

    Meal plan

    1. Lamb stew with rolls/bread

    2. Ham from the butchers, egg and croquettes (or Mushroom omelette) and beans

    3. Roast chicken, pots, green beans, brussel sprouts, roast parsnips

    4. Any leftovers, from the roast, chopped up fried with a few chilli flakes.

    5. Jacket pots with coleslaw or cheese

    6. Chicken Chow Mein - with peppers, beansprouts, noodles 6ttp://www.bbc.co.uk/chinesefoodmadeeasy/recipes/episode_1.shtml?chowmein (didn’t get to do this last week)

    7. Hot & sour soup with coriander and mushrooms, try jasmine egg fried rice, and prawn crackers

    8. Chicken legs/wings/thighs roasted with honey & black pepper and Gordon spicy wedges

    9. Chicken Tikka Masala & rice

I've just got into meal planning and I'm amazed how much money and time it saves. I plan for a month but this weeks plan is:

Saturday- I'm out with friends, DS has shepherds pie from freezer.
Sunday- Roast chicken, stuffing, roasties, yorkies, veg.
Monday- Chicken balti made with breast from sunday's chicken and veg to bulk it out.
Tuesday- Chicken and veg pie. Ditto chicken breast and got chicken and wine condensed soup for 50p to make sauce. New pots and veg.
Wednesday- Lasagne. Will batch cook this weekend to make 3 and freeze.
Thursday- Chicken Provencal (jar sauce:o). Mash and veg.
Friday- Toad in the Hole mash and veg.
Saturday- Pizzas (special offer at Lidl) and HM chips.

As u can see I don't cook everything from scratch but am hoping to get a slow cooker soon which will free up time in the week as I don't have a couple of hours spare for cooking every night- DS would think he'd had his throat cut :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I need to start meal planning but don't like the idea of eating a certain meal on a designated day, so would it be alright for me to post a 30 day meal plan (when i have worked one out) and post it here?

    Thanks!

I mean, of course, that I would do a 30 day meal plan each month and post it on the appropriate meal planning thread, if that is okay.

Monday - corned beef crispbake with chips and beans (something easy as it's my first day at my new job, so my brain will probably be frazzled!)

Tuesday - chickpea, spinach and tomato curry with rice

Wednesday - pork stir fry with noodles

Thursday - [STRIKE]griddled chicken with roasted vegetables (I bought a griddle pan ages ago, so am going to use it at long last!)[/STRIKE] didn't have dinner

Friday - [STRIKE]pasta with gammon and peas[/STRIKE] griddled chicken with roasted vegetables

    Saturday - chicken fajitas

Sunday - breaded chicken with savoury rice and corn on the cob

I don't know what my days off will be at the moment, so this may change depending on what i'm doing.

Thursdays dinner didn't happen...I might swap a few days round as otherwise it's chicken 3 days in a row. I'm off on Sunday so will have a think about what i'm going to make.
