Melissa, nope!!! I'm fed up now. lol I wonder if they meant Monday or Tuesday next week.

Hello Saveapenny nice to hear from you again. Helen hasn't posted since she got married! You say your prices are below anyone elses, why not up your price, sometimes people think that cheaper is poorer quality, its all in the mind lol I wish you every success in your new buisness venture and hope you get lots of orders.

I'm making Wedding stuff at the moment for my sons wedding and after making a sample which they absolutely loved I can go ahead and make the rest, should be completed by early next week. I can then get back to card making and entering some challenges.

Have just dipped in at the end of this thread, will try get around to catching up soon (I may be some time!)
I made Xmas cards one year but I am in no way an accomplished card maker. I'd love to be as they are amazing!
Went into hobbycraft yesterday for 1st time ever & wanted everything lol.
So ... Last night I made the invitations for our wedding! Just need to do the insert page now. Could you ladies & gents (?) advise on wether to just glue a page into the right inside half of the card or kind of fix a double page (covering left and right) like u get in nice birthday cards (like a card in a card kind of effect) etc. Sorry don't know correct name but I am sure you experts know what I mean!
    Any advice please?
Ps I am quite pleased with what I've achieved so far, just simple but effective I think!
    TIA :T
    Welcome to the thread

I like to do a folded insert but its personal choice really. Why not make a couple of different ones and then choose which you like the best.

Well I took the plunge and ordered some of the pens. Here's a link:
    http://www.crafterscompanion.co.uk/
I couldn't resist as they've got a couple of offers on - free postage, plus if you order any 4 of the blender sets (normally £6.99 each) you get them for £25 plus you get a free pen case (meant to be £3.99). I ordered the pinks, blues, browns and turquoises but I might go back and order another 4 and get another case! They also had the neenah card on special offer - 65 sheets for £9.99, so I got some of that too!

Flourgirl - sorry your pens didn't arrive - fingers crossed they're delivered tomorrow!

Mad-frog - hope you have a good time - where are you going?

Saveapenny - its great to hear from you - how is little Harry getting along?

 - Hi folks, sorry been MIA again for a few days but it's been a bit busy with end of term stuff and I am never organising anything again - the amount of sleep I have lost hoping that the Limo & laserquest went well - some people are born to organise unfortunately I am not - so when they need another organiser - I'll be at the back of the queue - lol!!!

Hope all poorlies are better, hello to any newbies.

Can't wait for the reviews of the new pens!!

I am supposed to be doing housework but keep getting distracted by the pooter!! However, I am dashing off 'cos then if I get my bits and pieces done I can come back on later guilt free;)

Sadie - your challenge card is fab - its really clever how you've used the sequins for the dragonfly's body! Love the blue shiny stripes on your xmas card and your squares card is so pretty with all those pastel colours! Your daughter is clever can't believe she's only 3 - her writing is neater than my OH's!

Thanks Mel, started correcting the staff at her nursery when they spelt her name wrong lol!

Artydoll, I think it's such a shame when family cannot even try to get along for the children. Our situation is the other way round where it is my MIL who has nothing to do with our girls. Her loss although children benefit from the widest family around them.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend :)
  • I knew there was a reason i didnt visit often ;) Blinking pens jumped into my shopping basket at Crafters Companion .... Then of course the pesky elves checked out before i could blink :rotfl:

Ive bought the 4 sets and bag for £25 too. Got Essentials, skin tones, browns and reds .. Its usually the browns and reds that i tend to replace more with my Promarkers .. So i suppose thats money saving ?? :o Thats what i am telling myself anyway hehe

ArtyDoll sending you all big hugs.. Famillies are awful sometimes xx

Dragonllew when does the challenge end ? Its been ages since ive entered any challenges. So if i get chance i would love to join in..

Ive had a mini blog hop this morning.. Hopefully i will catch up over the weekend :D

    Hugs everyone xx

Choccy those pesky elves popped 2 x24 sets of those pens into my basket too and used my paypal account!! Just need DH's spendy elves to buy the last 2 sets then I will have them all :-) Ooops!

Have a look at this blog, the lady is giving out the list of pens she is using in her colouring of images, could be useful.
