Thankyou :D They are lovely, I love your watercoloured one! x I am watching Jeremy Kyle aswell lol ... makes me feel normal!

I am following the See food diet ... :rotfl: no only joking, I am just eating really healthy, lots of salad/stir fry and fruit. I aim at 1000 cals a day, but I also burn off at least 150 on the wii fit every night. I am averaging between 600 and 750 calories a day by the time I have burned some off! It will however come off me faster as I am fat ... the fatter you are the more you lose to start with :D:D:D ...

I'm following myfitnesspal.com. They set the limit, which mine is 1540. You can basically eat what you like but you have to 'declare it' and it says how many calories it is. Its really interesting. I have lost another 1ib this morning, so thats 4ib in a 8 days. I've had to send my hubby to town for some more trousers for me as mine are a wee bit big!

If i eat less than 1200 Kcals it tells me off and comes up with a warning. On the other hand, my colleague has a limit of 1200 Kcals and she only gets a warning if she eats less than 1000kcals so it all depends on height/weight ratio to begin with.

Is 1000 calories a day not too low though? I know you're dieting but sheesh!

I'm doing Weight Watchers at the moment and have lost 11lbs in four weeks. I swear, I've never eaten this much in my life before - totally converted to it :D

Well I figured that when I was on the Cambridge diet I was on around 600-700 a day, using their shakes and bars, then when I decided I loved my food too much, I swapped to a meal plan which was 1200 cals, then dropped down to 1000 cals. this was part of the plan for Cambridge and I am eating the same kinds of foods and having little treats aswell. my little treats come in the form of meringue nests which are 50 cals, and ice lollies which are 50 cals. I am getting everything I need from cereal, fruit, salad plenty of fibre, carbs and everything. I looked around a lot before I took it on with CD and now I am simply following that without all of the expense of paying for CD products. I thought about weight watchers, but I just cant justify the price, I get hungry, but I use my cal allowance sensibly. I keep breakfast low in cals (around 65 for cereal with skimmed milk) and then around 200-250 for lunch and up to 300 for tea. Then I allow myself a bowl of fruit on an evening, the time when I know I will sit and nibble on crisps etc etc ... I measure and calorie count absolutely everything in a spreadsheet :D

Vicl - well done :D ... remember that if you weigh yourself everyday it could leave you dissapointed, your body can change throughout the day in up to 2llb in weight ... I got weighed sunday night, gained 2llb and when I got on last night I had lost 2llb. ... I only weigh myself on the wii everynight so I can see it plotted on the graph but the weight on there is higher than the scales at boots which are better calibrated :D

I weigh myself at the same time every day so shouldn't be an issue.

I know that my metabolic rate is 1800kcal and i am only eating 1540kcal max, so should lose it in my calculations!

    Isn't this a craft forum???

Which mag had the LOTV images as the freebie?

How do you 'create' your cards?
Do you have a picture in your mind before you start - and it works? Do you start with an image and see what goes? I made a very simple card last week that took days involving getting out nearly all my paper of similar colours and 'playing' 'til it looked 'right' and that usually what happens here. I need to make things MUCH quicker so would be grateful for any advice you can offer?

rainmac - I'm finally running out of the paper I use for printing backing paper and images for layering. It's 160gms 'good' copier paper that I bought years ago when I first started making cards. I 'think' you recommended some from Rymans but can't remember what it was can you remind me please?

Viclspence - I think it was Papercraft Inspirations.

I usually get an idea based on what i've got in my draw, it then looks rubbish so i start again from scratch!

    .

I was always told to choose my papers first ... then you have an idea on colour schemes, but normally I could my image then stress cause I can't find a specific paper pad which I think matches lol ... I guess it is easier to pick your papers first and then colour your image to match!

I have coloured a tilda  this morning, need to finish her colouring off but I have no idea what papers I will use with her as I just wanted to colour! Whoops! :o

Mad frog, I found out this week that I haven't got an interview for the school job :(, am a tad p*ssed off that I didn't and am going to phone and ask for feedback why I didn't. Will do this when I'm feeling a bit more positive about not getting the interview though ;). I'm having huge guilt pangs about trying to find a job for September when DS2 doesn't start school until half way through and does half days to begin with. I think I may stay as I am until he's settled and then look properly.

Rusty, that's me :j, cheered me up no end (been wrapping up lucky dip prizes for the school summer fayre all day and so bored of it), off to email now, thank you x

Lei, I ordered the nibs directly from Letraset, orders over a tenner are free p&p too - http://www.letraset.com/products/2140-ProMarker-Ultra-Fine/

Marg, I tend to pick my image and colour it and then choose papers, I do get unstuck sometimes if I have no papers to match. I recently made a card choosing the papers first and that came together far quicker.

rainmac - So sorry you haven't got an interview and I'd certainly phone to ask why not. Maybe good to wait until DS2 is settled. I'm a great believer in there being a reason why these things happen.

Thank you ladies for your advice with how you 'do' your cards - I tend to use pre coloured images so could be part of the problem - learn to colour!
