Making cards - Ideas (part 5)

Oh Marg - that's just the kind of thing I would do ;-)
Does anyone know how you would work out how to print in a colour to match a stamped ink. I've stamped ' Order of Service' in stazon Blazing Red but now need to print something on the printer to match. I'm guessing I'd need the numbers for RGB but how do you find them out?
Achey head this morning (oopsy it's afternoon already) as I haven't had enough sleep. Went to a wedding reception and got back relatively late - was nearly 2 before I dropped off and then I couldn't sleep as I had a couple of friends stopping over, one of which needed to leave pretty early and I didn't want to wake up after them iykwim.0 -

I suppose one (probably unhelpful) option would be to print out the different reds you have on a sheet of paper and see which is closest. I've just had a quick search on google but nothing springs out at me about what kind of colour it is. Sorry!Life is like a box of chocolates..........you always seem to pick the hard ones!0 -
thanks Vici - that was my plan b. The other alternative would be to not stamp the 'Order of Service ' bit - print that too - but then I'd be cross with myself for buying the stamp & ink pad and not using them.0

DTB - can you scan in what you've stamped? and open it in paint and play with the reds there until you get a close match on screen the check the 'numbers' from there? Sorry, that's not a very good explanation. I'm happy to go into more detail if you think it will help. I haven't got Stazon red or I'd have a play for you. If you want to email me a little piece I'm willing to try but it might not come 'true'0

That would have been my suggestion too, DTB.
Also, something else you could do is to type up a few lines in Word and try changing the font colour, the basic red will be a good starting point and gradually increase the colour ratios until it's the colour you want. Don't forget to try this out on a piece of the card/paper you'll be using as different papers may absorb more of the ink or be a different shade of white.
Can anyone recommend a good selection of digi wordart, I'm looking for something in the greeting line that I can increase the size of to fit some of the bigger nesties I've got. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -
My god i'm so stupid at times. After trying and trying to get my martha stewarts punches to work properly I just couldn't fathem out why the corner punch didn't punch at the same level as the the border punch. I almost threw the thing across the room at one stage, then realised that the corner punch has 'wings' to line it up! D'oh!
I am trying to put some cards in cyber space, but my internet is very slow. yesterday I bought some pretty flowers instead of the usual ones I use so have combined them and the punch and am rather pleased with what it came out with. Plus the water colours from last night so i've had quite a successful 24 hours!Life is like a box of chocolates..........you always seem to pick the hard ones!0
