Flourgirl - thanks for sharing your sympathy card - I understand. x I needed one earlier in the week (my friends husband collapsed and died instantly aged just 65) and I couldn't face making one. I mentioned to a young girl I was talking too that I was going to a local card shop, not mentioning the type of card I wanted, she misunderstood the shop I meant & said 'Oh yes 89p they only go in the bin don't they'? I was so shocked, for once I was speechless! I never 'just bin' cards.

Your afternoon tea looks fab I've not long since had my lunch but could certainly find room for a scone with butter & jam.

    Happy Birthday Myz.

Thanks Marg. Sorry to hear about your friend, 65 is far too young. I know what you mean about people who bin cards, my SIL is one! I also had a friend who at Christmas if the cards didn't match the decor they got ripped up as they came through the post!! Sad thing was she kept matching ones from one year to the next to make it look as if she got loads every year :(

DH says the scones and the muffins are gorgeous, he has just demolished a couple with a cuppa, must be thirsty work this flying club lark lol No flying today as visability is poor and his mate wanted to take photo's, good job he went yesterday. Think I must be due some new stash :)

Marg non frozen blueberries would work, its just that I sometimes have them in the freezer and thats what I have written on the recipe card (shruggy shoulders) lol

OMG!! That's terrible. I think she'd be taken off my list.

Flourgirl - Ok I've got my cuppa - where's me scone??? :rotfl:

Marg That's a shame for your friend, it must have been a terrible shock for her.
