Melissa - are you hoping packing your back will be a useful distraction once you start?? With a bit of luck you wont be there long enough to need most of it. :) x

You should have seen what I took with me to hospital when I had Jack, enough for about a 4 month stay I should think! I didn't want to stay one night so goodness knows why I packed so much stuff. The most useful things I took (aside from the nappies and baby clothes) was some cereal bars as the food on the ward was horrendous ;) I can still picture the congealed cottage pie and baked beans they dished up to me. There was no way I could eat it.

Thank you Rainmac x. Speaking of hospital food, when I had major bowel surgery and hadn't eaten for 3 weeks, my first meal was cornish pasty chips and beans!! when I asked for something lighter they brought corned beef and coleslaw sarnies!! Hospital food is vile. Glad to hear Rusty is on the mend.

PepPop - thanks for the hugs - I've found that in my experience the more kids you have then more painful the birth, Elliot was horrendous!!! Although I have found also that with each child my time in labour has halved so this time it should take 3 1/2 hours (I wish)!!!!!! For matting and layering I normally use bazzill's white cardstock or failing that any old bit that I've got lying around! For stamping on I use the stuff from craftwork cards.

Marg - the plan is to just bark orders at OH as to what else I need packing!!! I think I'd like to stay in a while just to get some rest although I'm really worried about Elliot - he's never really away from me and is really clingy, most of the time I can't leave the room without him following me! I'm also worrying that he's going to hate me because baby M will be getting so much attention from me.

Rainmac - I'm glad to hear that Rusty is gradually getting better - would you send her my best wishes??? It is such a shame that we don't all live nearer so we could help each other out!

A couple of offers for everyone - craft obsessions are offering free postage until midnight on Monday if you spend over £10 - the code to use is "FREEBIE"

Crafty Ideas by Kaz is offering 15% off everything if you use the code "NECWEEKEND", you have to spend over £20 but I think they offer free postage if you spend over £20 too. The offer finishes on Monday too. I haven't posted a link yet because the site is down for maintenance at the minute!

When I had Leo I had missed dinner so they offered me the most disgusting plate of cheese and crackers, I wouldn't mind but I'd been in that much pain that I hadn't eaten for 2 days. I remember when I had Elliot they had chilli with chocolate on the menu - yuk!!!! I think I'll bung a few bags of crisps and some chocolate in my bag, OH will have to nip to subway for me!!!

PepPop I use the Craftwork Cards digi paper which is brilliant for stamping and printing. I too thought Papermill were closing shops but keeping just the online store. Do paperchase do anything like that, does anyone know?

    Thinking of you, Melissa!

Hello all, not got much to say. I just get over one thing then i get another! looks like i have an ear infection now! I think antibotics just don't work for me now. So i am very deaf and stuck cotton wool in my ears with warm olive oil in to ease it a bit.

Not done to much card making like i wanted this week. I just sat and did lots of cutting with my bug but now i have lost the die cuts! they have got to be here some where but the crafty fairy thief hastook them! and i can't finish my card as i had used up all the card i needed to use.

I can't blog anything either as lots of my recents cards are on my hubbys laptop.

I bought the twin pack of oval nesties but i bought small thinking it related to the scallop size as my circle scallops are small but i think it means the actual size and now i have them i am thinking they may be smaller than i wanted but i am sure i will use them :rotfl:
:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boys :)

  • Well done to everyone that bagged bargains from the show last weekend. I’m actually only about 15 miles away from the NEC but I’m not going to the show. I don’t like all the crowds so I’ll stick with internet shopping for now.

melissa - congratulations on becoming Auntie to Dylan - hope you enjoyed the cuddles
dawnteabag - what a shame you didn’t find what you wanted at the show - sounds as if you and &son had a great time though.
Marg - I got some ejection foam from that ebay seller too (I think it was Addams who pointed me in her direction).
OAP - good to have your internet back again - bet you really missed it. Congratulation on your new great niece!
Padster - that’s encouraging news for your DH - hopefully things will be under control just by diet
fluffy - ooo a new craft room, how lovely!
flourgirl - sorry about your Uncle but hope you had a good day with your Dad
craftygranny - what fab news about Carly - you must be so proud of her!
rainmac - good luck with the party - menu sounds very yummy. Fabulous candy win by the way!
artydoll - your cards are lovely so please don’t give up on card making, whilst it would be nice to have sales I’m sure you get much enjoyment from being creative.
jowri - hope your check-up went well today
Wifey - hello, hope all is well with you.

Right might manage a quick blog hope before bed.

  • My fairyopolis prize arrived today - it is the cardmaking kit which can be seen here It is rather lovely and what's even better is that I wouldn't have bought it myself. I would have been more likely to buy the CDs or stamps.

I also made my card for FF challenge, except it went a bit wrong and I bent the tail on my seahorse, so I haven't boggled it coz i think I'll have to do it again. I might be able to recycle some of it.
