Does anybody know what support Provocraft provide to those who don't buy new machines? And indeed what is the best website to research such things?
I think I'll probably end up getting SCAL anyway but I thought I may as well wait and see the cricut craftroom. I think with that though you have to own the cartridges to cut them out which is I think exactly what the design studio could do (and what you can do with the gypsy but that is portable) + I don't get my million pounds bankers bonus until the end of the month. I have about 12 cartridges so that's enough to keep me busy and I like that I don;t have to mess around cabling my laptop up tp the machine but it would be nice to be able to buy images one at a time for specific projects.
The George cartridge is really good - in fact I've been cutting hearts out with it just now.0 -

Just read that back - it doesn't sound good if you read it the wrong way:eek::eek::eek::eek: so I'll clarify - I've been cutiing paper hearts out with it. All non-paper hearts are still very much where they should be in teabag towers. The machine would get very messy if you tried cutting real ones out and it probably wouldn't do the sticky mat much good.0 -
Happy Birthday Georgiegirl - hope you enjoyed the Chinese meal.0

No idea re their support sorry - when they were on HSN the other day with the cricut expression they said they only provided support to registered customers from approved suppliers - but then they might just have been saying that to get you to buy it from HSN / C&C,
Re where you might look for advice, there is a dedicated cricut forum on ukscrappers.0 -

It didn't, for a second occur to me that you would cut any other kind of heart!!!!

Off to a playcentre this morning with DS2 then home to start reading through the job details I have been sent. I am now worried about it cos someone on an MSE thread has just been sacked by them for rating too quickly. All I can do is my best and if it's not what they want then so be it and it won't be the job for me. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
