It's really windy isn't it. My 2 Bay trees in pots have fallen over several times so I'll leave them on their sides for now!!
Hope no one has any loose tiles on their roof.
Rusty - just read on FB what happened at the nursery. If they are run by your local council then you could complain to them as I think their response is disgusting. It's made me wonder about the nursery my 3 yr old niece is going to so will have to get mum to check on their policies there as she collects her from there once a week! The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -

Big hugs coming your way lady, what a carp response from the nursery, honestly  It is them in the wrong not you xxx
Craftygranny, you'd rather have had 4 more boys  They must definitely be easier then
Marg, huge THANK YOU, postie just been. Will return your generosity xxx
My cold is more manageable today, can't stop sneezing though, I must have looked a right sight in Tescos earlier clutching tissues to my nose whilst pushing my trolley! If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Hello ladies, just a flying visit from me today - up to my eyeballs in paint and glue - all will be revealed shortly (I hope). Lots of chatting been going on I see
I've posted an unusual DT card on my blog this morning if anyone fancies a peek (not sure I'll be crossing those bounderies again - but never say never!!
Rusty - don't know what the latest problem is as I very rarely go on FB so never bother hooking up with anyone (I'd never get anything done if I had that to contend with too), but I hope what ever it is gets sorted and that your daughter is OK. Meant to say that I was always bought up to believe the word f**t was swearing, but apparently these days it isn't?? I had a problem similar to yours and when I approached the head she said there was very little they could do about it as the word appears on kids tv (which sadly it did) and what is deemed acceptable language in one household isn't in another, so we compromised and agreed that the teachers would remind the children that we don't use those wrods here (at the nursery).
Craftygranny - ouch at the car bill and lol at your son
CT - your cards are beautiful, so don't be dis-heartened, I'm sure it was as the other say just a "slow" day.
Bananagirl - welcome to thread, hang on to your purse though cos there'll be a lot of encouragment for spending your pennies.
Betterlife - am now stalking you, fab freebie thanks.
I hope the windy/stormy weather goes away and that you all have a great weekend. x0 -

Rusty sorry to hear you are still having problems. You are deffinately right and I know you will stick to your guns. You certainly have my support, I hate bad language being used especially near children. xx

Hello all
Welcome to more newbies!
Rusty - Glad things are sorted with Maddison, but there is always something happening to keep us on our toes! Have just read your other comment and read on facebook whats going on. What they said is totally out of order. I think you are in the right to complain when your child isnt being looked after properly! Maybe we are all those mums people dread coming in!
Louby - Great news about your neice. Hope she takes it easy and doesnt rush to get better.
CT - Thanks for the free papers link
Betterlife - Thanks for the freebie. I am now a follower. I love your cupcake images and the icecream sundae!
Flourgirl - Thanks for the freebie
Its very windy here too! I had my hair done today, the hairdresser said, 'we'll put some hairspray on as its so windy out there'. Well it didnt help! By the time I got home, my OH laughed because my hair was so messy! Hugs to all. xxMay - £251.63/£155, June - £108.69/£150, July - £157.45/£155, Aug - £104.28/£155

I have finished my card for the water challenge, i am sure you know where to find it.
It's really windy, my friend is picking ds1 up from school so i am glad i don't have to take ds2 out in it.
Why we have a paddling pool out in winter i don't know but it is currently sitting in next doors pond! He won't be happy about that.
Iv'e also had a few broken pots which woke ds1 resulting in him sleeping in our bed because he was scared.
Read on FB what happened rusty, that is well out of order. Ds1 was still in nappies when he was at pre-school at first. i'm sure they helped them if they needed and we had to leave a bag with extra clothes in if there was any accidents, i can't believe they left her in that state. As for the words it's hard cos they pick stuff up very easily from other children i was mad when on open morning my ds shouted he was going for a pee! lol it doesn't seem that bad but it's bad manners the teacher never said a word but i corrected him and asked him never to use it again.
Yesterday my friends little girl kept saying she wanted the toilet but they wouldn't let her go in class time ( she is 5) the teacher said she had to wait until lunch but she couldn't wait and she had an accident in class the poor thing has a water infection now and alot of the children we making fun of her for wetting herself yet the school did nothing and she only found out from her daughter when she was at home.:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0 -
Well i'm in shock my oh just gone to collect my sons car and it needed more than they thought so final bill is 860 quid just think how much stash i could have bought with that.
Rusty sorry to hear things aren't getting sorted at nursey . I was telling my dil and she said she'd sack anyone who spoke to the parents like that it is completely unacceptable . She said if it is a council run one you should put your concerns in writing to the local education authority and tell them if things aren't sorted you'll contact the local paper .Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20
