    HELP PLEASE!!!!

I bought loads of Christmas papers and some Tilda's months ago. They have been sitting in a drawer until now. Tonight I decided to make a start on my first ever Christmas card but I just don't seem to have any creative inspiration:(

I have posted a picture on my B*** of the start of my card but what can I do now? Apart from a few flowers I have nothing in stock, no machines or anything to cut anything out so I would need to order online as no shops locally.

Has anyone had any of these designs before - I'm sure they used to show more in the pics on Craftwork Cards but can't quite decide which 1 / 2 / 3 to buy?:D

Which ones are everyone buying - I'm thinking Monochrome and Ruby Tuesday
I ordered monochrome & strawberry crush

Hi Irlip I have looked at your card and if your image isn't stuck down I would suggest a bit of matting and layering, do you have some glitter or glittercard or even some holographic card ie gift bag? I think that would lift it a bit and add sparkle. HTH. you can look on my hp and see if there is any inspiration there for you x

Yes, I have some sparkly card. Would I put it behind Tilda so that she is still sitting on the words?

Sorry a bit new to this:o
  • Glad you had a good birthday Raimac and DS1 is better - wish I could bounce back like kids do :p

Cat is still making a noise like a flood warning siren - she usually saves it to sound big and scary when I brush her ;)

Was all prepared to pick DD up for 7 - could I get out the drive could I hell - nipped down the lane and did my best fluttery eyelashes on DD's friend's dad as OH is seeing Peter Kay tonight (treat from his boss with dinner and hotel stay we're lucky if we get a box of celebrations between 20 of us!) and he just reversed it straight out - I felt sooooooooooo much like a rubbish woman driver :rotfl::rotfl: again!

Hand is fine - stair carpet not so good - need to replace it with one that doesn't show Tesco strength 5 black coffee and cat sick :rotfl::rotfl:

Have a good evening off to peruse goodie bags - secretly hoping they have sold out :A
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

Irlip have a look at this card it doesn't have to be round, you could have a play around with some rectangles. Try plain card then glittercard then patterned paper with Tilda on foam pads. Its just a case of playing with what you have got and moving it round until you have the desired effect.

    Hi Irlip
Lovely colouring on Tilda, if your words are not stuck down yet I would put the glittercard panel behind both HTH

CT Wow sounds like a brilliant first day - mmmm posh restaurant sounds lovely.

OH got on really well. He got all his safety gear and managed to organise a lift so he doesn't need to walk there and back each day - he can't drive. He's melted into the sofa at the moment watching Spanish football on tv and looking forward to tomorrow. I'm off to get on with my Christmas cards... catch you later

The words are on the paper, but I know what you mean, would have looked better if I had cut the words off and put them on top of the glittery paper. I will try another one:o

At this rate I will be doing cards for Christmas 2011:rotfl::rotfl:
