  • Afternoon peeps - (((hugs))) and hot chocolate to any people under house arrest because of the snow.

Wifey - I think we need some Olympic standard dives for all these beautiful cakes.

We've had a snow day today for the kids and hubby has just been sent home from work as their heating has packed up - brrrrrr.

Right need to get a move on, take care all xxxx

CraftGranny Thank you for the list, I have printed it out and it's on my to do list for tomorrow

Haven't really achieved much today other than make a sweetie gift, think I have a cold coming. No more snow here but it took a few skids to get my car out of the drive.

Have a mountain of ironing to do, but at least that will leave me a day free to get on with my makes tomorrow.

  • LOL at Peppop - looks loads like our wifey but without the thermals :p

Braved the weather and took DD to her party just need to brave it again to go pick her up - only took 2 goes to get out of drive but have now parked on OH's side as he's in Sheffield tonight where they only have a light sprinkling

Have been cross stitching this afternoon in between gazing frightenedly out of the window - have no idea why I find snow so scary - last time I had any problems with the stuff was 15 years ago and that was only a small skid :) as OH would say !!!!!!!

Cat still isn't right she keeps growling and grumbling when she moves - will have to book her into the vets if she's no better tomorrow - dunno how I'm gonna explain what's up with her though - hopefully the vet will be able to speak Persian :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

:bdaycake:Happy Birthday Rainmac – I really hope you have had a wonderful day. :bdaycake:
Love all the cakes that have been posted.

Hope your son is feeling better today, and that your DH and DS had a fab time yesterday seeing santa.

Padster – hope your hand is better and your cat is back to normal soon.

Thank you for all the good wishes for my new job today. Had a great day, already feel part of a team, and have had lots of work to do. Was also taken out to lunch today at a posh restaurant on Epsom Downs too, so that was yummy! Really looking forward to going back in tomorrow, so that is a good sign.

Pep-Pop – how did Mr Pep-Pop get on today on his first day in a new job?

Just got my first order to make some place settings for a friends partner’s 80th birthday. I sent them 3 different designs, and they have chosen the easiest ones for me to make.

Really behind on finishing off some Christmas Cards, so hopefully will spend tonight crafting, but did manage to wrap some presents yesterday afternoon.

Keep warm girls, and congratulations to the latest winners.

That's such great news CT, glad you had a great first day xxx

Congrats to the latest winners xxx

DS1 is all better and was back to school today so it was a shirt lived bug thank goodness. Thank you SO MUCH for all the cards/pressies/cake/birthday wishes :A. I've had a lovely time, I let DS1 open all my cards and pressies that were here yesterday as he couldn't get to London. He was thrilled and started ripping into them straight away, I have so many beautiful cards, thank you so much, will try and blog them tomorrow xxx Me and my OH have been into Toys R Us today and bought a few bits for the boys for Xmas and DS1's birthday which is just after Xmas, well it's only money I guess :o. We were going to have food out but it was so cold I just wanted to get home for a cuppa (in one of my new mugs from my boys) and a mince pie so that's what we did, I tell you I am such a cheap date ;) I've made the boys' matchbox advent calendar today and hope to start getting Xmas presents wrapped tomorrow.

Hope everyone's ok, have you seen Craftwork Cards are selling their goody bags for a fiver today, I've bought 2, they are such good value for money as they contain 30 cards & envelopes each and sentiments, papers etc. I need to go on a MASSIVE craft ban in the new year, anyone fancy joining me?

Take care and keep safe (no more carrying coffee Padster) x
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain

I have been umming and aahing about those Craftwork cards goody bags - which ones did you go for - I could always order them off my hubby for christmas!!!;)
