  • It's half term here and i doubt i will get anything crafty done. But i have 2 craft fairs in the next 2 weeks and need to get some stock done for them. I really wanted to get some xmas cards done for it but as it is i only have 8 personal ones done for my family. I need something quick and easy to do and then do several of the same kind i think.
I had a £50 nappy cake order tonight so i am dead chuffed so i have that to do also. Really looking forward to the paper craft show this weekend too. Am hoping to get some bits for the secret santa gift so would love a PM with my persons likes soon.

    Hope everyone is well.
how did rusty get on? good luck for tomorrow gem.

Tomsmom, did your son tell him that the extra work would cost extra? really cheeky of the guy not to pay

Gemma good luck with your interview

Well my bank fraud department closed my card after suspicious activity apparently from a transaction I tried to do at WHSmith. Shame I didn't realise it earlier as I have about 5 transactions via paypal and the payment will not have gone through, I guess I will get an email in time. It was a bit embarrassing going through my transactions with the bank as she get saying you spent xx at xx craft shop is that right :D At least it's sorted now

I am thinking of going to the NEC this year, can I ask what type of bags do you take with you, I was thinking of taking my rucksack but not sure if that would get too heavy after a while ;)

Sorry your pc has been poorly Wifey, what a pain :(

Off to my mum and dad's in a bit after we pop into M&S for me to moan about the state of DS1's school trousers. One of the pairs look like rags after only a few weeks of wearing

Have a good day everyone x

Madfrog Borrow your granny's shopping trolley for the NEC (or take your own if you've got one!). No personal experience, just remembering the photos from last year! Hope you get your Paypal transactions sorted quickly.

DS did discuss everything with his customer. The guy was trouble from day 1 and we all advised DS not to take this job. First he wanted half tiled, then fully tiled, then half tiled, guy's wife said fully tiled, guy said half tiled, it was finally decided on fully tiled. Once he got there it was changed back to half tiled. Then the supplier sent the wrong size bath so DS said I can fit this if I change the battening or you can re-order the correct size. Guy said fit the one supplied. Then he complained about that, also where it was put after he agreed he wanted it moved from original position. And on, and on! Extra materials were needed for all the extra work which apparently the money has been handed over for, and all the extra work was discussed and agreed at DS's hourly rate but this is what the guy is now refusing to pay for. I'm very much afraid that I had to say to DS 'you shouldn't have taken this job, we all told you and you knew this guy was trouble'. Of course, he now agrees! DS is now putting a disclaimer on his quotes which makes it plain that extra work due to unforseen circumstances must be paid as an extra. Seems the spoken word means nothing these days.

Well done Craftygranny and our other winner :T.

We have vile weather today. D-i-l is doing my washing but no chance of getting it out. My new washing machine is ordered, I should have it second week in November :T. Hope you've all got nicer weather than we have.

I made a couple of cards yesterday, just need to find time to blog them now.

Poppy's going for a haircut again today, crickey it's grown quick! Plus her ears are gunky again and she looks a right mess.

    Have a good day all.

Thank you very much for welcoming me back Ladies.

I'm just about catching up with all the washing etc though had to get a new iron on Saturday as mine broke! My mouth is feeling better today too.

Tomsmum - Sorry to hear about your family's bad week. I think it may be worth your son trying a solicitors letter either via CAB or small claims court route as nasty customer might just expect him to forget it and be shocked enough to pay up?

Peppop - 14 years out of a washer - must be a record!! I'm sorry to say I bet your new one wont last so long.

Gemma - very best of luck with your interview.

Craftygranny - well done on your win:j Will look into the ear trust thing later today - may need advice what to do. :o

Wifey - Sorry to hear about your PC if there's anything you lost I may have & you'd like me to send please shout - I'm very good at backing up at work but U/S at home stuff.

Rainmac - have a good day with Mum & Dad & Good Luck at M&S.

Dragonllew - how's your DH getting on?
