Padster Look on the bright side - when you move to "sunny" Scotland you won't need to remove limescale from anything again :rotfl: Oh and I don't like haircuts either... well not strictly true, I don't like hairdressers.
  • For those who'd like to know, just received a newsletter from Cowling & Wilcox - they have the pack of metallic promarkers for £9.95 and a promo code (PROM1211) for free postage!!

padster - you've really started something now - after I'd fished out my recommended de-greaser from the back of the cupboard under the kitchen sink (to see what it was called) I had to clean the cupboard . & now I'm wondering about the drains!! Fortunately my oven is self cleaning.

I'm loving all the useful hints & 'how to's

On hairdressers, if I had loads of money I'd have my hair done every day as I'm useless with it. I am very lucky though, my best friend is a hairdresser & has cut & coloured my hair since we were 16 so I wouldn't know where to start if I had to go to a 'Salon' - I guess they could be intimidating.

Flourgirl - sorry to read on FB about your dishwasher is it mendable? We had to get a new one in the summer & Dixon's price was the best if it helps.

Marg my DH fixed the dishwasher thank goodness, although we cant put it on when we go out just incase it goes bang again. Just hope it doesn't happen on Christmas eve!!

I went to a Craft Fair last night at my local garden centre (across the road) supposed to be over 40 stalls of yummy handmade goodies....what tosh!!!! and the prices:eek::eek: honestly it was 90% garbage. I thought I might glean a few ideas but I could have given them some!! even though I'm very critical of my work it was tons better than anythin g I saw. I looked at some cards with the LOTV cute squares stuck on a very thin card with a peel off £2.75 no backing papers or anything and lots of cards in excess of £5 each. It was a real eye opener. The only thing I bought was a small vase that had been done with glass paints for my DIL and the woman put it in a carrier bag that hadn't been sealed properly  I had been carrying it under my arm and decided to carry it by the handles, it was a good job I was quick as it very nearly dropped out of the bottom and smashed

Padster I think you have started a cleaning frenzy :rotfl:

Flourgirl --but did those cards sell?? I have seen some beautiful cards with a lot of work on them priced about the same and no one was buying!!!!!!:mad:
I have emailed you that pattern.

Padster you have not put me in a cleaning frenzy I did mine on Monday:rotfl::T however when the sun shone through from the hall into the kitchen it highlighted the tiny gap between the washing machine and the next cupboard and yes it was fluffy and dog haired but since the sun went in again I just can't see it :rotfl:

Must get tea started as I am off to a Stamping up party tonight

Hugs to all who need them

OAP Thank you so much for the pattern, you are a star xx Nobody was buying much at all at the Chriistmas fair, maybe they were like me and had just gone to poach ideas!!

I have a card to make for my friend, her daughter is dancing the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker on her birthday, she is a dancer with the Prague Ballet (not sure of the proper title) and my friend is going to Prague to see her on the opening night.....how fab is that!! Anyone seen any Ballet Shoe charms anywhere?

Cleaning done this morning and then this afternoon I have been practising my colouring lol Better go and put some jacket spuds in for tea now or we will be eating at midnight!

The cleaning frenzy is not hitting my house yet, that's a job for Sunday. I clean my oven with Cif (or own brand equivalent) and one of these...

works a treat and we don't inhale any horrible fumes.

I am cream crackered tonight, was going to have a go making something but I can't be bothered tbh. OH is out so I may have an early night with my book and a hot chocolate.
