    Good Morning!

It's been a bit quiet here in Marg land as I tried to catch up with domestic stuff but I won one of the 'Crafty Ribbons' prizes this week :j- still can't quite believe it - not looked what to choose yet - any suggestions about what works well on cards would be most welcome as I don't very often use ribbon.

Padster - Cilit Bang Power Cleaner Degreaser works well as a 'one off' industrial type product but probably more costly than either Macma's or Flourgirl's recommendation both of which are good too. Hope you get a buyer quickly.

rainmac - glad you're feeling a bit better.

I'm hoping to re-issue the lists soon - Any changes I need to know about?

Padster I'm looking forward to it :) A tip I learned was once you get them clean spray them with furniture polish and lightly skim them with a cloth so you leave a coating and they never get greasy again you just need to give them a quick wipe and spray polish again. I know it won't help with the initial cleaning but it'll keep them looking great for all the nice viewers and buyers that santa's gonna send you.

Thanks PepPop I like the sound of that.
  • Thanks girlies - excellent tip Peppop for the polish
I have stardrops but have never used it neat will try that later this afternoon unless I decide to weed the front garden - oh the joys!!!!

At least the burn on my arm from the oven cleaner is better now :o It sneaked in over my rubber gloves

Have never done so much cleaning - and boy does it show - but at least I can tell when I've done something.

Next tip request - cleaner for old fashioned enamel bath please :D

Biological soap powder. Fill the bath up with hot water and loads of soap powder stir it with a wooden spoon until the soap powder dissolves and leave to steep until the water goes cool. Rubber gloves on and scrub then empty the water. Oh and if you want to keep your tiles nice coat them in wax car polish (coloured Turtle wax depending on the colour of your grout) all the soap suds run off them and they stay sparkly.

Mind of useless knowledge me (you'd think I'd a house like Anthea Turner wouldn't you - I know what to do just don't put it into practice very often :rotfl: )

oooh and ouch about the oven cleaner burn. I try to not to use nasty stuff like that cos I'm not sure about the fumes and the cats but I might have to bite the bullet.
