I've been thinking about it but haven't made up my mind yet. I went last year and enjoyed it but not sure if there's anything I really want tbh. OH has told me I should but I'll decide before the weekend. I take it you're going - what are you looking out for?
Sorry for any typos I'm using my phone cos OH is using the lappy.

I'm going to the SECC on Sunday :j :j :j

    I'm looking for:

    • LOTV stamps (can never have too many!)
    • Heat gun
    • Papers
    • More Promarkers
    • Supplies! Card, sticky tape, gems

    Lots of things really!

I haven't been on here for a while but desperately need some advice. Have just bought the Grand Calibur machine which I have been after for a while and offered my best friend my old cuttlebug.

But I have just had a horrible thought that the all in one embossing folders I bought for the cuttlebug may not fit the new machine - can anyone tell me if they will work in the Grand Calibur machine.

Nannyboo, they should do but you may have to get the embossing plate from Creative Expressions that is sold on Create & Craft, it's about £11.99. I'll give it a go in mine and let you know later but I only have the old Cuttlebug folders like Swiss Dots. You have done well to get the Calibur. I never thought it could replace my Wizard but it does.

    Morning all!

I've got loads of 6 x 6" papers (thanks! FF):D that I know I will never use, any good to anyone here? Please pm me

  • Flyin - before you spend all your money on the current LOTV - they have a new release out in early November - not sure if they'll have them at the SECC or not coz they were still waiting for them last weekend.

BTW the colouring course was fantastic am sooooo glad I went even if it was rather expensive - at least it got me out of this mess hole for the day am dreading them doing the lounge and dining room but once that's done can get back to kind of normal :D

There's a load of stuff on the current release I've been holding off from buying anyway, so plan to buy one or two stamps anyway ;)

Glad to hear that the colouring course was good. I'm saving up for whenever their next one is, and have got the money for the course already, just trying to pull together enough money to travel to Leeds, eat and shop :D

It was how to colour with either promarkers or copics - depending on what you had - they also had a shop and coz it was at Leeds where they are based you could order any they hadn't brought and they nipped out and got them.

The goodie bag was good too - a card making mag, a LOTV stamp, some flowers and 3 flexmarkers :D Bev was in charge but Jacqui Dennis sat on our table so we kind of had our own tutor - Bonus.

The thing I didn't realise is Bev is South African - was a bit odd coz I was expecting a geordie - she no longer sells on eBay coz the tax-man came after her even though all the proceeds were going to charity - so watch out you eBay billionaires ;)

Padster, that sounds brilliant especially getting your own tutor. Will have to go on a search for one further south than Leeds. That far away from home defo calls for two night on a 5* hotel:D
