Forgive me if this has been said, I haven't been able to read the whole thread.

I sent for 6 wallpaper samples from an online company. Two of them were free (horrible in real life compared to the photos though) and the others were 60p a sample inc. postage. They came as A4 sheets. I taped them to the wall for a while to help me decide and have now given them all to my card making friend who is delighted.

Old bits of wallpaper might be useful perhaps?

Also, has anyone ever noticed there is a lovely texture to the bits of foil that people have to pull out of their cigarette packets before they can take one. I had a handmade broach once which had a bit of this in it.

Hi ladies, hope you are all ok.

TomsMom its lovely to see you again, I was only thinking of you this morning, how spooky is that! Gardening isn't my forte either, things do grow in my garden but more by chance :-)

Its very wintery here today :( hope its nicer tomorrow for our 320 mile journey down south. I can't believe its the wedding this weekend  I have only just finished doing the table plan and some last minute changes to some more placecards plus another table number !! Talk about leaving things late, my DIL only found out on Monday that the tables seat 10 and not 12, so all the table plan had to be done again which created another table:eek: So, now everything is done and I can breathe :D

Rainmac it sounds like you will be the perfect Auntie to all the children and it will make them feel at ease with you by asking them home style questions, plus you will get to know their backgrounds and help you to understand the problems they have. I bet you will be shattered by next week but it wont take you long to get into a proper routine, you are young and fit.

Off to make a Hello Kitty card for my grandaughter she is 4 next week  where did the time go!!
