    Hi everyone,

Newbie alert!! (Well newbie to posting on this thread anyway!! Hehe!)

I just been looking through at some of the beautiful cards you guys have made!!! Wow!!! There are some seriously talented people on this thread!!

I hope you don't mind me posting on here but I'm in need of some advice really!!! I finally managed to get hold of a second hand Big Shot last night and loads of dies for it!!!! Sooooooooo excited about it!! I have been after one for ages but could not justify paying for a new one!!!

However, I am really interested in buying some of the standard shapes for it such as the framelits/spellbinders/x-cuts i.e the squares, circles, ovals, etc.

I am completely at a loss as to which I should buy!! With Christmas and my birthday coming up my lovely friend has offered to buy me some crafting stuff if I want and so I would be able to ask her to put some money towards them! I want to be able to layer them up so that I can put a scalloped circle behind a standard circle of the same size and the edges of the scalloped circle will show. I want to be able to do this with several different shapes. I was wondering if any of you are able to offer me some advice on which are the best ones to invest in.

Thanks so much in advance for your help guys, I'm so excited about this machine and I want to be able to get the most out of it!! I've not even been able to have a play with it today because I had so much on, guess what I'll be doing all day tomorrow!!! Hehehe!!

    Thanks again everyone,
    Jo

  • welcome to the newbies, hope you have a lovely time with us, and I hope you've be warned that MSE rules, are slightly bent on this thread. I'm not entirely sure who's fault that is, but I'm sure it's not mine:rotfl:

Dr's and Dentist and Hygeinist for me today - I was going to fit work in around these, but rang in this morning and booked the day off.

And you'll never guess what I've gone and done - I've only gone and put in an application to be part of the Polka Doodles Design Team. I doubt very much if I'll get it, but hey, it's a good excuse to play with my crayons.

    Happy Tuesday folks
    xx

Kiely Welcome spellbinders nestabilities layer very well but are probably one of the more expensive, there are quite a few different ones, have a look at Crafts u love for some ideas, then look on ebay to see if you can get cheaper

Welcome to all other newbies, be prepared to not be very MSE on here :D
