Sorry I haven't caught up lately - i've been soo busy but am up to page 40 I think... Are there any plans for meeting up at the NEC?

Hope you're okay? Glad to see you back!

I think it was you who mentioned you'd brought an all singing and dancing Canon printer that can print thick card and is wireless? What model do you have and how have you found it?

I need a new printer as mine has now died :(

    Thanks xx

Thanks - I'm ok-ish!! Didn't sleep a wink last night so ended up faffing about in my craft room all night!! Fibro's been pretty bad again and also I've had labrynthitis a few times in the last 6mths and now I've been left with constant high pitch tinitus which is totally stopping me sleeping!!! Was referred to specialist back in July finally got appointment 30th Sept but he was useless and has referred me somewhere else and now I've got to go to Brighton!! soooo annoying!!

Anyways, soory for the mini rant! Printers - yes it was me and yes I do love my new printer (altho I haven't used it for everything I had planned to yet as not been crafting much but I will) but it has been brilliant for printing on card - its the Canon MP640 - there are other canon models that are cheaper that can print on card but I specifically wanted one that would allow me to print on cds as well! hth :D xx

Rusty - re guillotines - thank goodness!!! I was beginning to think I was a total numpty cos I've got the x-cut guillotine and I do struggle a bit with it!! just thought I was wonky!! but phew glad its not just me!! :o

Rainmac - fab news about your mum - really pleased for you! And thankyou ever so for the tickets - they came yesterday! Lovely to have that to look forward to in January!! :)

PONR - oooh you're stash looks very exciting especially the pink ATG - I've been tempted to buy myself one for a while now and see if anyone wants to buy my yellow one off me - I have only used it recently a few times! bit of deja vue here regarding my cuttlebug... lol!! just gotta have it if its pink!! whatever it is!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Or the other alternative is that lots of peeps on you tube have resorted to 'altering' they're yellow ATGs by spray painting and embellishing - seems quite messy tho and I'm worried it'll chip!!

    Hi everyone!
CraftyGranny Thank you for the beermats! I have started on the advent with them and made some calenders as well.
I need to update my *shall not name place* but I can't find the camera, every time I go to look for it I get distracted lol

I'm a little excited right now, OH said I can have a die cutting machine for my birthday, now which one to pick, cuttlebug or big shot? Any recommendations?

Thank you!!! I loaded the tape in the ATC earlier but the instructions were very confusing!! I think I've got it right now though. Do you leave the tape in when you aren't using it?? I don't fancy having to keep putting it back in every time but then I am worried it will stick to everything it is stored near!!!!

    Hope you feel better soon.

  • Flourgirl - just seen your comment re the Cuttlebug in hand baggage lol!!! It was easy, just took it out of the box and didn't put the handle on until I got home!!!!! It fitted into my trolly cabin case nicely with lots of other things!!! I couldn't lift it mind you and had to ask a man to help me to get it into the over head lockers!!!

When I was in the US at the end of last year, I brought back another laptop that my OH gave me so in my hand baggage I had 2 laptops!!

ponr i leave the tape in mine all the time. I have two on the go and just stand them upside down with handle stuck up in the air . works for me.

I have a cuttlebug and it folds away quite small . The big shot is bigger but still cuts the same dies. Best person for advice on die cutting is lisa ( craftfairies ) if you check out her blog here it is very informative. If you're still stuck just ask she very nice and doesn't bite. lol.

PONR I leave the tape in mine too, can't see the point in taking it out really. I keep it in my top drawer on top of the pen tray, so that it doesn't stick to anything. Now Glue Dots @$&$? they really do make me swear, they have the habbit of unravelling themselves and sticking to everything in sight!!! grrrr Brilliant for sticking gems on though :)

Yes I've left the tape in too - I don't think I've got the hang of it though cos it seems to get caught up so that I have to wind it backwards and then it gets stuck to everything - but I do remember everyone saying that its tricky when you first get it but then once it 'clicks' with you you'll never look back!!

Oh yes on the question of die cutting machines I've decided I need to get an electronic one - I do love my cuttlebug but when the fibro is bad I really struggle with it being so 'manual' so really want to get an electronic one that can link up to my computer - I guess most people on here have got the robo haven't they? Is there a better one out now? and does it come in pink?!!!!! lol! thats actually my first question but shhhhhh don't tell anyone cos they'll think I'm an airhead!!!

Anyone going to NEC this year?
