    Fill the tank before the journey and zero trip meter.
    After journey fill up and record the number of litres.
    Divide the litres by 4.54 (to give gallons)
    Divide the number of miles on the trip meter by the number of gallons (to give miles per gallon)
    The only thing that is constant is change.

    I have a Micra automatic and love it. It's economic on fuel, comfy to ride and drive and it turns on a sixpence.
