BSOD: The BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI compliant

Aargh, help! My son's PC (Packard Bell, Windows Vista) would only start in Safe mode. I have tried a Partial Restore which initially appeared to have been successful i.e. it worked normally for a couple of days, but now it is sometimes failing to start normally i.e. it either hangs or goes into Safe Mode or Startup Repair.
I have also had some error (stop) messages:
BSOD1 - win32k.sys PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGE_AREA
BSOD2 - The BIOS in this sytem is not fully ACPI compliant. Please contact your vendor for an updated BIOS.
Stop: 0x000000A5 (0x00000011,0x00000007, 0xFF0B010, 0x03000000)
Can anyone explain what is actually wrong or what I can do to find out and fix it (if it is fixable)?
Thanks

It's likely to be a fault with one of the memory modules.
Firstly, go into the BIOS (usually F2 on the opening Packard Bell screen) and reset the settings using the default option.
If that fails to cure the fault, and you have more than one memory stick installed, remove one, then another, to diagnose the problem.0 -
OK - thanks for that. I have reset the BIOS and so far all appears to be working normally. Not even wrong0

It also may be useful to check out Packard Bells website and see if there’s a upgrade for the BIOS available.0
