Can anyone confirm whether they are still waiting for September payment? I have emailed several times and phoned. They now owe me over £80 and I could really do with the money (Sept and Oct invoice added together).
Can I ask if I am the only one?
I have deallocated two surveys as I cannot risk not getting paid for doing any more work.
Any advice on what to do next?
I'm not waiting for any payment this month but this has happened to me once in the past. I built my invoice, and thought I had pressed submit, but apparently hadn't. Another reason for non-payment is that you miss the cut-off date of the 19th of each month. I always ensure that I build my invoice prior to this date, even if it means that I dont get paid for all of them this time.
Could it be one of the above? If not, hound them.:)0 -

Seems to be getting worse at the moment
Rant over.
You have my sympathies. I have been moaning to allocators about this for years. Although I have more flexibility than most (being a virtually full time MS/audit person), I resent seeing my potential filler jobs reappearing on job boards time after time. If I had had the chance to pick them up on their first appearance, they would have been completed within fieldwork deadlines with no problem.
I self-allocate the occasional dropped job, just to keep the MS companies sweet. But mostly now, I just let them stew until the fee is negotiable.
Today is obviously a good day today for dropped jobs - I'm having lunch at home and picking up the phone every ten minutes or so. I've got a busy afternoon/evening/weekend ahead of me!!:rotfl:0 -
Has anyone worked for Secret Shopping Service? They have a jewellery job local to me, but the scenario is strange, all the jargon is American and there is a lengthy report to do. On the plus side, it's a decent fee but I don't want to go through the hoops if I don't get it!Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0

I have done many of these. They are quite straightforward and I have found SSS a nice company to work for. Go for it.0 -

I've done a few and don't find their reports that long, however, do plan on not seeing your payment for a couple of months. I didn't get any charges from Paypal. I also had my first report returned to me for using 'she' & told to make all references neutral. I politely pointed out that all their examples clearly used he/she so I thought that I could. The proof reader didn't seem to know about this & said he'd feed that back.0 -

I haven't received mine which is for quite a fair bitI haven't contacted them, as I thought I had submitted the invoice after the cut off point. I did mine on 23rd September, and read on the front of this thread that they pay by cheque on or around 20th of each month.
I'm confused!!0 -

I received a cheque on 25 Sept so you should def have had yours, if you got your invoice in on time. HTH0 -
I wish I was getting offered as much work as some of you. I'm getting 3 or 4 jobs a week - the joys of being a 'new girl' I suppose.0
