I don't think they're working at all are they? I mailed them an urgent query about a job yesterday morning and got an automated response back and havn't heard from them since.

They're probably all in Spain judging by the amount of jobs that have disappeard lately:rotfl:

    Anybody work for service scan?

They want two referance's. Bit odd.

They are quite picky about who they employ unlike some ms companies!
I do a fair bit of work for them but it does depend where you live. They require pretty detailed reports but are a great company to work for IMO.

To the person that, this morning, released a pub Sunday lunch, bed store AND shooting-star electrical store job on RE in my area which were due yesterday ..... WHY???????

I have one of these in my area. Snaps up all the local jobs then drops them - twice. Think they're playing the system for extra money. One of them was the one I could have done a fortnight ago. Why don't RE take measures against those who keep dropping jobs?

I suspect its two shoppers dropping them as once you drop a job with RE you can't see it to retake it.
I know I was guilty of dropping a couple of RE jobs yesterday but I completely underestimated how shattered I would be after starting my new job and the idea of getting a train in to another town doing the jobs which in themselves were fairly simple but coming home to the hassle of writing them up before going to work again was just too much (and I'm not in TG's area at the moment so I'm not guilty of dropping those ones!).
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
  • I did a GAP express chicken today, it had to be done between 12 & 3 and I got there just before 3, however the time on the receipt was 3.02pm so either they till clock was fast or my watch slow.

Is there any point in me submitting the report and saying that it was before 3pm on my watch or am I just opening myself up to grief from them?

I'd submit it as a) Gap reports don't take very long, and b) I had a burger job where the till was 27 mins early- I explained it in my notes and they didn't question my times.

I have done some stuff for them, but visits are not often. It's once every quarter, and that's if you are lucky. Reports need a lot of detail, but on the whole, it's all good.

2 of my friends have joined since me, and have not been allocated a single thing.

They have started doing conference booking things at hotels and they pay quite good. I have not done any of them.

I agree that you might as well do it because it's not like the reports take long. Although I'm sure on the chicken jobs it actually says that you are meant to be in and out in the specified time frame. So if you're meant to be in there 20 mins or whatever, then you should technically be in at least 20 mins before the end of the time period.
