True. But would they be able to prove you were lying?

E.g. I took a coffee with somebody for refund only.

I had never worked for the company before and wanted to get my foot in the door as well as having never done a coffee before.

Can they prove that i'm lying? (if i am, which i actually aren't)

Do they need to though? Or do you need to prove that you aren't?

How do you prove an intention

Thats the 'grey area' i believe.

If it came down to it, i don't think they would be able to win. Like somebody earlier said. Sit firm!
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!

Our street is covered in about 4" deep compacted snow and ice. I've spent over two hours outside with other neighbours clearing it. Absolutely exhuasted now and pulled a muscle in my chest, but fingers crossed I can finally get out and get some work done in the morning.
Here I go again on my own....

I was lucky and got most of the road outside our house cleared before anyone had driven on it (cause no one was going to get up the hill at the end of the street). BF went out when I had done about 3/4 of it and it took me longer to get the bit he had driven over cleared than the rest of it put together. (he was in the 4x4 else he was going no where either)

Without getting into long winded typing... the egg people say that because if you use the eggs for personal use technically you can't write them off as an expense.

They are a requirement of the job.... specifically stated thats why you get a XX for the job the ONLY real requirement is Eggs and a thing you take back ergo anything you purchase above that (should you decide to use the full reimbursement) where lets be fair we all do... is taxable.

again ONLY taxable if your showinga profit for the job :) and even then you still have a taxable allowance of whatever the minimum is now... over 5k

I'm Ipswich way. Been snowing non stop all day and settling. Luckily I was able to leave early from my "normal" job. Hair raising journey back though as the snow was coming down and settling on the road. Could hardly make out the lane markings on the A14. Everyone was driving sensibly though. Completely different story when I was reaching my home town 15 miles away. Lovely clear roads and no snow falling.
    Hi Pennies
Loads of snow here. I struggled to get to the village shop - and I'm not that far from you am I?

My neighbour has dug me a path to the bins and garage, where the freezer is, and is going on a wallking shopping excursion tomorrow.
Things as dire as ever here!
  • I know this isn't relevant, but if anyone is in Fife could they help?Forwarded Text:

I am Dougie Potter, Fife Council's Emergency Planning Officer.

I am involved in working with council services and other emergency responders on a range of issues concerned with dealing with the demands of this current spell of severe weather.

As you can imagine one of the main areas of difficulty created by the weather is in getting access to areas badly affected by snow. This is particularly important in providing a service to vulnerable people. So far this week our resources have been augmented by a number of volunteer organisations.

As time goes on with no sign of the weather improving we are now looking ahead and particularly examining our level of resilience for 4 x 4 vehicles - particularly over the weekend.

I know that your organisation provides support to communities in a range of ways.

I believe that a number of your members may have 4x4 vehicles. I know this is short notice but do you think any of your members would volunteer to provide assistance to Social Work and NHS Fife at the weekend. This assistance - if required - would be limited to taking essential staff to hard to reach locations. I can provide further details if you contact me.

If you think you may be able to assist please telephone me

    regards, Dougie

    Hi Squidgy,

No you aren't that far at all! I think the snow fall was localised here. We've got snow but not as much as in Ipswich. Got two shops in Ipswich town centre tomorrow so I hope it's all clear!
