I was hoping that today I would become member of a MS Eggs Shops Club... I was so excited. My very first egg shop... Read through paperwork few times, memorised all the items, inputted address as a note into my mobile calendar just in case if something will go wrong. I have checked a route twice (both with Google maps and with traveline-northwest website) just in case if I will need to use a public transport. Both the websites showed the same location, printed out the maps and directions. It was so easy to get there, I mean to the address provided in the assignment instructions. HOWEVER, there was not a shop, even nothing common to one. There was a street of semidetached houses. In first moment I thought, I have missed the shop on my way. I even considered that maybe I was not on the proper address, but THE ADDRESS WAS CORRECT, the number and road name were correct, however the SHOP WAS NOT THERE! I spoke with few local people, got information, that at the place I was at the time, there were not any of these shops, but they were aware that within 30 min walking distance probably should be some. Nevertheless, it would be different post-code and street. They assured me also that I was at proper address. I took few photos of the location showing the house and door number just in case of having a proof. I was confused and decided to check all numbers on the same road beginning from the number 1st. I was walking along the road and reached number 285 (location was at 225). There was not any shop visible in nearest area. At this point, I decided to stop looking (spent over 90 minutes there), made a call to MS Company, and left massage for MS support team. I came back home and still cannot believe what have happened.
My question is (as it a bit different situation from shop closure ;)) does anyone had a common situation? How did the MS Company react? Did the company pay for the assignment?
I have another question regarding the assignment survey, should I wait with a form filling until someone will contact me back?

I hope I will not be in a trouble as it was my second assignment for them and first still waiting for the validation (submitted report yesterday).

P.S. Have anyone been sacked from the RE before? Did anyone have problem with the final payment from the RE? How long does it take to receive a final cheque?
    I'm Polish and so what?
Does this mean, I'm worse human being,
    than my Mancunian neighbours?

Dont fill it in until you've spoken to them. They rapped my knuckles for doing one where I had lost my receipt and didnt phone them. Still got paid though.

Have you looked up the shop on a store locator? See what it gives.

Just checked, their site does have a shop finder. i would see what it gives you.

I make a point these days of checking out the exact location of all jobs I do with Google street view. I once took a 'Digital' job only to find that it was a trading address only (i.e. no shop). Contacted the MS company and I'm still waiting for a reply!!

I was (EVENTUALLY) paid for May work on 28 October.

Is anyone getting any sort of explanation for these infuriating delays?

    Jennifer,

I want to apologize for the delay in getting your payment to you. It has been sent this morning through Paypal for $XXXXX. Please confirm with me when you have received it.

Also be assured that we are looking into why it took so long in getting your payment to you. There is no excuse for such a lengthy wait and we will get to the bottom of this issue.

Again, please accept my apologies for this blunder. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me directly.

Have a great rest of the week.

    Thanks for that.

Do you think the Europe office isn't working quite as it should be? Still feels like cashflow issues to me.

I concur with radarman. For my very first egg shop, I put the postcode in google street view and found myself in the middle of a boarded-up council estate with no sign of any shops. Eventually found the correct shop over 2 miles away.

And then went to do it (50 mile round trip) only to find it was shut for refurb.................. they did still pay me though :)

I've found quite a few errors with ESA postcodes after checking on streetview - so def worth looking before you go!

Just finished writing up half of todays jobs, was slightly aghast at the react undies shop to find out my 'real' size..no more cheap and cheerful primarni bras  On the plus side it shows that my gap burger and chicken diet over the last couple of months has helped me lose weight (yeah I know not normal am I). :rotfl:

It's doubtful. They're a big player worldwide and the test centres are administered by the US office which I think may be where the issue has happened... Think it's been a lack of communication really on both sides of the pond...

Enron, Marconi, RBS, Lehmann, no-one is too big to fail and my non-payment is for a vehicle job.

I used to absolutely heart BARE. They were always really good with payments and reimbursements. They used to have proper classy clients too. There used to be a dude who worked for them who was really helpfil. Think he stopped working for them and posts on here sometimes too. I don't rate BARE anymore.

Only got 5 visits to do next week. Woohoo. Happy days!
