  • Seriosly RE have been taking the micheal for the last week or so, I've had 8 questions per assighnment queried, this morning I got 8 again , including

Q30 - Who served you at the till?
Your comments: The Manager: male , 5' 10", short hair, wearing glasses.

    What was his hair colour

    I've just replied back saying.

Sorry his hair was very short and I did not have my microscope in my handbag on that particular day , Everytime I looked on his head he noticed and asked me if he had dandruff or something.

See how they like that :@

Once you have completed an assignment and submitted your best report then it goes into a queue to be picked at by the proofreading team. This can take anything from a day to 3 days (I have a theory at the moment that it takes longer if it's near a payment date. So that they don't have to pay you until the next period :D.) If by some chance you have managed to work out the real answer to their very similar set of questions then your job will move on to the next stage and go in the queue for payment :j. If however they can find something wrong then you get an email which tells you to go and log in and fix the problem. (You lose a point for every query. But apparently they don't count for anything!) The main thing is you don't get paid until it has passed the proofreading stage. Once that has happened you should be able to accept your next job,

Can sometimes be longer than 3 days when RE have got a proofreading backlog, also depending on the report can be longer (Similarly some of us may avoid some of the 'wordiest' RE reports with minimal / no fee the proofreaders would try and do the same as they get paid by report).
In terms of working out the questions, the 'Italian Brothers' springs to mind, the shoppers instructions tell you to comment on one starter, meal and main course', the proofreaders instructions tell them to check that ALL meals have been commented on (or something similar..... little while since I've done one so it may have changed).
Remember getting the query back when doing a 'family' visit and reply (slightly tongue in cheek) that I couldn't guaranteed that my 2 year olds was good, as she couldn't tell me, but she looked happy!

I'm beginning to think the "What were the other 70 members of staff doing" query after my typing error the other week wasn't meant to be a joke after all, and they are just idiots!
I've got 1 cleaners job for next week with them lined up at the moment, which I am going to drop, but am thinking of leaving it till the morning I'm meant to be doing it to release it!

  • I did a cleaners job a few months ago and I was left out of pocket. Was really not worth it, First I could'nt find anything that needed dry cleaning so I took a cleaned item just for the sake of it which cost nearly £20 , the questionair was hidious. Not to mention I had to take a pic of the store "without being noticed " when the till was facing doorways and the assistant was still standing there :|

I'm trying to do jobs where I actually want whatever it is I have to buy as, having looked at the last 6 months or so, after taking off expenses, time for filling in forms etc I seem to have made an hourly rate well under the national minimum.
In particular is RE who want two people to have a meal and a drink for no fee and expenses that wouldn't cover one of them. Ok if you are going there anyway, but not worth the trip in most cases.
Having said that, some companies have quick easy jobs with simple questionnaires.
I think they rely on newbies to pick these up.

I think RE may have mentioned in the past that they don't want professional mystery shoppers doing the job and would rather have people who would go to the shops normally to comment on their findings. Of course the overly wordy questionnaires/silly photos would put off most "normal" shoppers from doing this...

WHHHHHYYYYYYYYY can't I be 25? Seriously, it's as though I'm not interested in those gorgeous bracelets that I've been looking to buy for a while!

Well, yes, But I do think RE questionnaires are one of the most complicated to fill, not because the questions are difficult but they take so long with all those separate pages, the old way was much simpler.

Haha yeh at least there is one near me! I have 6 months until I'm 25, so I suppose I can wait.

    I'm pleased they're self-assign though!
