Out of curiosity, did anyone else notice a change in their complaint handling process? The last time I did a circuit, I got asked for my name/address in virtually every store - this time none out of the 21 asked for them!

I wasn't asked for my address either. The items were simply replaced with no questions asked.

I've only been asked for my address when getting a refund. Went for easily replaced items this time as I find the process a bit quicker and I thought I might be a bit pushed for time with the circuits I had.

    Send him a PM.

I didn't, some do. Just remember to keep good records if you are using your normal account.

Yes. You will need to estimate for the first year then give them the same figures you do for self assessment each year thereafter.

    Good luck
Couldn't think of anything witty to say so just keeping the space until I can :(

  • Hahaha that made me smile... Doing an urgent greasy burger. Manager gave the next table a check back and as soon as he'd gone one of them said "well that's a first" :rotfl:

Really hate how obvious the burger scenario is *sigh* still kinda have a feeling they get tipped off when we're coming as well...
  • If you have an iPhone I can thoroughly recommend using the free Dropbox application.

I now save all my cover sheets and questionnaires to Dropbox on my laptop at home, I rarely print anything now, which means that when I am out and about I can read them on my phone. I can even refer to them when I am actually doing a shop and no member of staff could possibly know that I was reminding myself what it was I was supposed to be looking out for. I could be reading a text from a friend for all they knew.

It is also great for photographs. You can take a picture of a shop front on your phone and it will be on your laptop when you get home. I no longer have to hook up my camera to my laptop in order to transfer the pics.

Dropbox is totally free if you use the minimum capacity storage, more than adequate for what I use it for.

I always get a refund. Every little helps ;)

The photographs are a complete pain though. There's cars and people in a few of mine and if they think I'm going back they've got another thing coming. I'm only prepared to skulk around the outside of a shop with a camera for so long! Some of them the cars were obviously staff ones as there were no customers left in the shop so short of asking them to move they've got no chance!

When you ask for a receipt I think it might make them suspicious. I've seen the way they behave when I've asked for a receipt - they rush round doing check backs and send someone into clean the toilets as well as a team of them whizzing round wiping the tables and sweeping the floors, being nice to children and old people, etc...
