  • Spotted the companies (which were) "Promo jobs pro and stuck for staff" on another forum. Does anybody use them and are they any good?

    Is that better?

I have several objections, which have been discussed by other people on other forums, and would therefore kindly ask that you don't post about this on here.

Further, if noone from the MSE team has responded, I'd have thought that you should err on the side of caution and not post about your money-making scheme. For this reason, I've reported your post as abuse.

I also reported it as abuse. One of the things we tell people on here is that if you have to pay for it, it's no good. This is a site to save and make money with free advice.

To clarify, prior to today we have only previously posted on one other forum. While some people responded saying that they didn't think that membership would be right for them (which we understand, it's not going to suit everyone), we received no objections to our posting information about our service on the forum in question. (In fact had asked and received permission from the forum moderators first).

I'm sorry if you feel our post was abuse. Out of respect for the forum members we went to great lengths not to include details of the service we offer or our website details or company name without first asking permission. Therefore I apologise if we have broken a forum rule which we were unaware of.

We have a genuine money saving offer which we felt might be of interest to this forum and decided to openly approach members to see if it would be of interest. We felt that this was the right way to do it rather than by 'leaking' or posting information whilst posing as a third party personal member, which we know is a tactic which is sometimes used by companies to ovecome forum rules.

Ok, forum singular, not forums plural, my mistake.

I don't think the posts on your other thread were along the lines of "this isn't of benefit to me", IMO they were along the lines of "this isn't of benefit".

You are trying to exploit this thread and the good nature of the regulars here for commercial gain in my view, and i think that's against the MSE ethos.

For veteran shoppers, your servcies offers no benefit above and beyond what is already out there free of charge. For newbies, the information is here, free of charge.

I'm now not going to reply to anymore of your posts, so as to not give you the exposure that you desire.

Ok, i had a quick sniff around your site, but since i'm being lazy i shall ask for all the answers on a plate (if you don't mind).

I've been mystery shopping just over a year. I work full time also and i'm registered with all the 'big' companies.

How would your site help me? I'm struggling to answer that to myself.

I've just seen the funeral shops listed on ESA. Can anyone advise me what they are like to do? The fee seems rather low for a visit to such an establishment. It is not something I would enjoy that is for sure. :o

Thanks for your question. We do have some similarities with other organisations that help to find mystery shoppers work, but what makes us different is that we are a professional membership body created to support and represent the needs of our members. Although we have the support of many of the agencies who employ mystery shoppers, we have no links to any agency and so there is no conflict of interest. Uniquely we also have a seat at the industry 'top-table' (our CEO is the current Chairman of the UK Field Marketing & Brand Experience Council) which means that for the first time field staff have independent representation at the highest level within the industry.

In terms of how we can help field staff as individuals (and I'll keep this brief as I do not want to be further accused of abuse) we are much more than just a job board. As well as finding jobs and searching for companies to work for, members can access online training and accreditation (which we know may not be of interest to the very experienced mystery shopper) receive subscription to the industry magazine, and can access to online news and resources. Development of furture services will be shaped by feedback from members and an elected membership council.

Just as with any professional association we do need to charge for these services to cover our costs. However we have worked hard to keep costs as low as possible, and the discount code we want to share with this forum would have allowed members to join for £9 a year, with full access to all of our membership benefits.

I understand what your trying to do and respect that but i fail to see how i will any better off using your site (regardless of whether i pay to or not).

You say that you have a seat 'at the top table'. Unless this in some way means you can get RE to change their stupid questionnaires, GAP to provide shoppers with some respect and not scrap reports for very little reasons and force TNS to answer emails i don't see how this will help me. I'm a little fish and want small things :p

Your accredited training will only be handy if companies recognise this as a qualification and something to be looked at with approval. New shoppers may chase this but for most of us on here we have already proven our worth, especially as quite a few companies have their own 'test' before accepting you.

in fairness i think this thread holds far more valuable information than your site would include, sorry!

You don't need to be referred, they opened membership a couple of months ago, only retriction being you can't use a free web based email to register (Gmail, hotmail etc.)
