how about an ebaying frenzy. I think it's free listing weekend coming up. CD's, clothes, bundles of children's clothing, any console games gathering dust, old mobile phones, stick it all on. It's amazing how £10 here, £5 there soon adds up.

I couldnt cycle, its too far :-(I live in a small village, there is one other person who works with me but on a part time basis and we work different shifts.
I know I must sound like I have an answer for everything but I really have considered all options !0 -
we went to a dealership evan halshaw i think, our credit rating was bad and they hunted around unitl they found a finiance company willing to take us we didn't need a depsiot as they took our old car in partexchange. i think it was a company called marsh but i'm telling you think long and hard before you go down this route i know it might seem like the best solution now but we do regret it, we wont be doing it again the inertrest rate is appalling and they pray on the vunerable. sorry for my selling never was anygood at it. i hope you find a much better solution0

Hi the ebay idea is a good one, the only problem I have is that my Paypal Account has been suspended (long story) doesnt seem to let me list items for sale without paypal as a payment option - even though I would be happy to accept cheque or postal order :-( ...I am in the process of trying to put a few things together to list on a friends account, but it doesnt add up to much unfortunatley.
Would be great if I could find someone who has a car they didnt use on a regular basis who would maybe let me use one for a few months (for a small rental fee) - just a shame people cant afford to have spare vehicles sitting on their drive !!0 -
what did it fail the mot on?!!

Thanks littlesue, I will try every option before going down that route0

The MOT fail list was endless, my brother in law took it to his friends garage, they have always done all repairs for me at cost in the past - and they have advised me not to spend another penny on it.0

couldnt you advertise on a board at work for someone to give you a lift, a little bit cheeky i know but tell them you are willing to pay your share of petrol and that will buy you sometime to save.0
