Any experience of Bulgarian rentors?

I have got to the bottom of my neighbours-to-be enquiries. Today I boldly knocked on the door of the house next door to the property I am buying of which I had had a few concerns about. A lady answered and I came out with some story about checking out neighbourhood as looking to buy in area etc.
Anyway, she is Bulgarian and has lived there a month renting....
I have no problems with people renting but I dont have experience of Bulgarian people. I spoke to another neighbour who told me they also have two children (again, I am not bothered by children before you ask!)
Has anybody ever letted their house to Bulgarian people? I dont want this to sound racist or anything, just curious if they have any funny habits/rituals at odd times of day or if will be cooking weird concoctions likely to waft my way?

Yes them there forigners are something to be very wary of... especially as they are  renting. I would be careful because they probably hold nightly rituals... biting heads off live chickens to sacrifice to the god of un-nosey neighbours.:A

Why dont you actually go and ask your neighbour if theres anything that you need to be aware of culturally in order ot be a sensitive neighbour. You never know, you might actually be able to have a conversation with them and find out you have stuff in common! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
I spoke to her today lynzpower, although I didnt say I was moving in next door it was more a covert operation to check them out. As Toto said, they are both renting and foreign, I may as well throw the towel in now...0

Why would you treat someone with such suspicion? Covert operation??
I think we are learning more about you than your potential neighbour! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

exactly lyn, I am more afraid for the neighbour
Just because you say 'I don't mean to be racist' doesn't mean you are not being racist, and there is no excuse on earth for judging anyone based on their country of origin.:A

And... what exactly is wrong with people who rent?:A

Well.....I have previously posted about having nightmare neighbours and was advised to check my new ones before committing to buy. I didnt really know what to say when I knocked on the door so just bungled my way through saying I was looking to buy in area etc. I think it would have looked odd if I had then said well actually I will be your new neighbour. (I didnt know where they were from until I knocked on the door btw, the lady herself told me she was Bulgarian)
I am not a nasty person, just cautious with just cause. I will be living alone there and the last thing I want is bad neighbours whether they be renting, owners, english or from any other country. The vendors couldnt tell me anything about them which raised my suspicion so I had to find out for myself.
My previous post about throwing in the towel was tongue in cheek to Toto's post...0 -
ok fair enough.
LIke many nationalities, maybe there will be someone around later who is in fact bulgarian or has bulgarian partner.
I worked as a social worker with a bulgarian family once, adn they were lovely. But then Im sure that theres others that are not.
In the same way Ive dated some lovely british blokes, and some who have been utter sh**s. Ive lived next to some brtitish people whos cooking stank, and some who bake cakes all the time and thier kitchens smell lovely.
You just cannot make fair generalisations about people, based on thier ethnic origin. its racist to do so. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
