that is probably true IF the money has come off your card. I ordered mine yesterday and no money has been taken therefore I am pretty sure they will stick to the T&C's and cancel orders....... could be wrong tho.
loves how my "I've been censored" signature has been censored. LOL. Happy Christmas. :xmastree:

    and here for £210.79

I bought a fridge freezer a couple of years ago (not from Argos). On the Argos website, it varied from £480 to almost £700 - it was listed under 4 different numbers!

Yeah me to, I came to this thread because i need to replace my horrible mattress that i got last year and this is the same one.
It was lovely for the first week but then the cushion top seemed to hang over the edges making it really uncomfortable and your right its noisy too

Pillow top mattresses are one of the worst sales gimmicks in the bed trade. The fillings are usually loose, and in time they can move about leaving you sleeping in a hollow. If it was a quilt, then you would give it a good shake, but you can't shake a mattress.

Pillow tops also make the the mattress non turn, which means that the mattress won't last as long.

As for the noisey springs, this is a characteristic of the continuous spring system (called Miracoil by Silentnight and Rest Assured, and called Posturtech by Sealy). Rest Assured and Sealy are part of the Silentnight group along with Layezee and The Pocket Spring Bed Company.

Many manufacturers used to use the continuous spring system, but most have stopped due to it being so unreliable and noisey.

Many people think that Argos are cheap. However the truth is that they are only cheap when items are reduced to clear. When they aren't then you can usually find the same items far cheaper from other outlets (especially on line).

Just checked my HSBC account and Argos have taken the money out.
Now I'm not expecting this mattress to last forever, but my current one is shot, so if I get 12 months out of it, I'll upgrade next year.

Even if they have billed you, they still have the right to cancel your order and refund. It's not until the goods are in your house that you can safely say that you are lucky.

  • Very true and some goods that are reduced had original prices very high much more than other places

The only thing Argos are good for is being able to get goods quick when ordering online to reserve to pick up in store but even then they dont have to honour the original price
