I've tried to get it to work with a railcard as suggested by booking another journey through the main scotrail site then deleting it from the basket but can't get it to work. Wonder if it is possible or if I'm doing something wrong?

I've just done it and it worked fine.

It doesn't take the discount off until the last page.

I had to make sure I booked the ticket through scotrail's main website first before opening the discount link or it won't accept the railcard.

If you have used the discount link first you will need to delete the cookies before "buying" your ticket through their main page.

    Hope that makes sense

Argh! For some reason it wants to block every single one of my cards!

seen this earlier on hotukdeals, great offer - just booked 45 returns from hamilton to glasgow, took me over a hour to add them all into the basket but hey - it saved me almost £105

wish i got paid £105 an hour!!

Coming up as £88 for Worcester to London on Sat 7th October for 2. Seems expensive. No discount

EDIT: Hadn't got to page 6. Booked a return for £37 for 2 of us, going Saturday morning, coming back Sunday afternoon. Excellent, cheers OP

Lush walrus mentioned that the site seems to be refusing card(s) at the payment stage. Maybe something to try for anyone (like me) who's also had this trouble:

I'd been trying to book 2 return journies as 4 singles (with a railcard) this morning and every time I tried to put the payment through my card was declined, regardless of which one I used. I eventually got it to work by booking the tickets separately - the first time I removed 2 of the singles and the payment went through fine.

I then went to book the 2 singles I'd removed but once again the payment wouldn't go through. If this happens try closing the browser, deleteing cookies, temporary files and explorer history and start over again. (You can tell if it's worked because you'll be asked again for your email and password to login.) This worked for me though I was only able to book one ticket at a time - payment was rejected again if I tried to book two tickets.
