Am I the only one who would rather not save £900 and come and go as I please in my own car?

    No, I wouldn't either.

If you can't take the horse, what about shanks pony.

For a mile I'd definitely be taking Shanks' pony.

I car share with my wife. We work at the same place and work irregular hours. Sometimes I have to be in early and she has to work late and vice versa. It can mean 12 or 13 hour days and, quite honestly, it can be a right royal pain in the @rse.

We do save loads on fuel and only having to buy one workplace parking permit though (£225), not to mention only needing one car.

I'd need a job first. Then to live near people I worked with.

I hate the idea of driving somebodies else car. I would not be convinced that the data is managed properly, what happens if the driver ten minutes previously gets caught by a gatso? What happens if a plod stops you and finds an ilegal tyre?

Personaly I love my own car because I know for 100% its as safe as it can be, everything about it is legal and I am the only driver. I can have it as messy as I like it! And I reckon I pay the most for my car (considering its a tiny hatchback) than anybody else on this site. It is still worth it though.

You don't borrow other people's cars, you just share lifts in them with them driving.
