Check your E-ON Elect bill for overcharging
Have just received my e-on electric bill and noticed that they have charged me from 15 June to 16 Sept 96 days standing charge @ 9.16p per day, The correct figure should be 93 Days, although to me a insignificant figure of 27.48 pence spread it across e-ons 45 million customers it is a very much more a significant amount of money into millions and the main problem is the fact that the figures are wrong, I notice also tis that on their forecast calculations state a standing charge based on 366 days, have e-on rewrote the Calendar, Personally I cannot see a major company like e-on relying on sloppy software so is something underhand going on, Will update when I get an answer from e-on.

Hi aaajjj,
This does sound a bit odd, I haven't seen this before , I don't think I can really explain without seeing the bill and your account.
Do you have Heatwise prices?
If you would like me to take a look for you, use the email address in my profile page and I will be happy to do so.

I had this with one of my previous suppliers, can't remember which one.
The date of the bill was not the same as the date of the reading, ie in your case it could have been 3 days after the reading date.
The number of higher rate units was worked out on the bill date.0 -

Hi notbritishgas,

I'm currently renting a flat, and have been here since mid-june.
I'm with Heatwise-E.ON.
I have just had my quarterly bill sent to me today from 1st July to 28th September and it has cost me a whooping £98.00.
It says i have used 700kWh!! Atleast £60.00 worth of my bill has been used during daytime. The most weird thing is, im NEVER home during daytime. Im at work from 9am-5.30pm. I do not know what could possibly use up my electricity while im at home. At night time the electricity is used less, so it says on my bill.
Could someone please help me, as i cant seem to get my head around this. I cant seem to think what is pulling my electricity so much during the day!?
Are there particular times during the day where the electricity is cheaper? Is there a particular switch i should be turning off? I have storage heaters, but they don't come on (well they shouldn't do!)
Help!!!

The bill date is 4 days later so still does not correlate wth the standing charge days, as far as I am concerned the charges should relate to the meter reading days only and not have to wait another quarter to see if they balance out, meanwhile i am awaiting a response from e-on0
