I made the spanish chicken and chorizo thing tonight, very yummy! Although I halved the recipe to make enough for OH and me, plus leftovers, and we were both absolutely stuffed! She's a greedy one that Nigella!

And I have the book and it is good, I could curl up and read it all night.
    So, there are these boys,
    They kinda stole my heart,

I made the spanish chicken/chorizo dish yesterday - was delicious. However, when I looked at the leftovers in the fridge today, the amount of bright orange fat which had set at the top of the dish was UNBELIEVABLE! I bought the chicken thighs and the chorizo sausages from M & S, don't know if they have a higher fat content than elsewhere, but I will maybe grill the sausages before adding them to the dish next time.
  • Just bought the book for my daughter's birthday.
I've not seen the series yet but the recipes look lovely.
You can get the book for £11 something on Amazon by the way.

Ooh, I'll go and check mine, planning on having leftovers for lunch today. My chorizo was already cooked though, as that's the only way they do it in my Mr T  I think Nigella uses raw chorizo.

Looking through now for tonight's dinner. A lot of it is pasta which OH isn't keen on though...

I made the spanish chicken with chorizo for guests and well, chorizo is pretty much all lard so no wonder the leftovers are congealed! It did go down a storm though and is great for entertaining - shove everything in a tray, bung in oven. I roasted some baby spuds at the same time.

You can def. get loads of different types of chorizo in my local MrTs - maybe worth another poke?

I've also made the minestrone but that's not dissimilar to what I usually do for that kind of soup anyway. I'm going to make the peanut butter cheese cake at Christmas -can't make it earlier as I suspect I'll hoover it up....
