    Good news there Marru! :j

    Dinner tonight - roast veggies with pasta I think. I have a jar of pesto I bought on a whim so will use that with it. Need to raid the fridge for the veggies though! :D

  • Room for a little one? Sorry I haven't visited the diner recently but I love what you've done with the place :D

    What's on the menu today then? We're having chicken tikka masala made with one those curry pastes, a bit too creamy for me but DDs love it. With pilau rice which I do love so I'll be piling that high on my plate!

    Bake in the oven (gas...errr, well, probably about 6? the markings have come off my knob (ooh-err missus!) so I rely on guesswork!) until the top is browned and the sauce is escaping from the dish and making a nice mess in the bottom of the oven.

    :rotfl::rotfl:Pie sounds great too.

  • Veggies and pasta were delicious! Ended up with a mix of some slightly elderly beetroot, half a courgette (might have been some form of squash actually - it landed outside our window one day last week and I rescued it as I thought it looked edible - either it was, or its ill effects are slow to manifest themselves, in which case, goodbye all and it's been nice knowing you! :rotfl:), some mushrooms, an onion, and a red pepper. Drizzled in olive oil, salt & pepper, and roast in the oven at gas-mark-guesswork until they were just starting to go crispy on the edges. Pasta coked and then a little pesto stirred through, and some toasted pumpkin seeds, linseeds and flaked almonds to sprinkle on the top. I'm not sure OH actually noticed there was no meat in there....! :D

    Jo - you OK? I hope you've eaten a bit better today, but if you really don't feel like eating, make sure you drink plenty and your appetite will return in its own time.
