Thai sounds great jo. Good to hear you had a good night's sleep.
Lovely reading such a typically Budgiesque post, seems like your week in the smoke has been good for you Budgie.
Good to see you around and about again MissP and, of course, they were SW chips! I put on 4lbs over the last 2 weeks becasue of eating out/staying with friends etc so must jump back on the wagon.
We're off to a friend's big birthday bash today. I'm sure she said it was going to be a hog roast. So I'll be piggin' it out good and proper;)0 -

Well still here in Essex land, more last minute things to do. Hoping to get away before 7pm?
And Jo yes I hope the roads are kind to us? Just tried to get some food, The Harvester was heaving and nearly an hours wait, so went to the Railway instead. Bear in mind the water is totally caput now and not even running aired.
But i did tip the nice young lady £5 so I hope she didn't mind the dishevelled look?
I feel so groggy and grimey, can't wait to be back in Stokie land for a shower.
Oh and my poor Ds his back has gone, due to him sleeping on a sofa bed for a week
He hasn't stopped complaining all day..................................
So hopefully I shall arrive back safe and sound in Stoke at some point this evening?
Been nice being down but I will be glad to get home now.
Much love and hugs

Roast beef last night in the end. Am thinking of taking advantage of the Dominos BOGOF tonight? They are more expensive than Pizza Hut, but they are mmmmmmm
Lots to do today, need to do some house work laterbut first need to pop out and get the kidlings some clothes, cos apparently they grow :undecided, then going to the hand car wash for the full monty

Had a good time at the hog roast, ate loads and most of it pork!!
Today I've got an easy, 'pub' meal planned (but at home): gammon, chips, tomatoes, mushrooms and garden/mushy peas.
Weather still good here except a bit windy.
Like the sound of the roasts MissP and jo. We had ours Friday and it seems ages away.0 -

Thanks Miss P
Got home and 10.30pm, just realised I never logged out yesterday, came through the door and straight in the shower. I do love my Ds but he does pickle about, had his Dad assembling a barbecue before we left as well. A big stainless steel thing and it cost £400  Very not mse at all. I sometimes think the saying: "fiddling while Rome burns" is just for him.
With that and his network cabling, I tell you Mr BB does have some patience with him.
Budgie is not good whenL 1 - she is very hungry and 2 - she hasn't had a shower.
It plays havoc with my aura
So off to Sainsbugs for some food in a short while, then on with the washer, I tell you I know how to live it up.
Btw I was pondering what our Darling Jo said when I met her, that I talk like I type, not sure if this is a good thing...............................
Anyway big hugs everyone and Jo I hope the shopping goes well, especially after your tales of your youngest one, I am sure she will know exactly what she wants.
Lots of love
