Last minute cottages

Anyone know of any great sites for last minute cottages? I've done a lot of searching for a cottage in Pembrokeshire from this Thursday or Friday for 5 or 4 nights respectively but come up with nothing much.

We've just cancelled a trip to the USA for health reasons and wanted something on a budget but everyone I contact is quoting list prices and won't drop......

lastminute-cottages.com? That's the one we use for our hol cottages and it seems pretty popular judging by the response we get. Don't just go by the availability calendars though, lots of owners, including us, do get a bit lax about updating it so if you see something you like it's worth ringing or emailing. I'm surprised you couldn't get a late deal, we would offer considerable discounts for an offer this late. The main problem might be the length of time you want, if it was just a 3 day weekend you might get a better deal, as it is you want a weekend and part of a week that they might otherwise have sold. Weekends and weekdays are often separate standalone periods so you would be using up the possibility of 2 bookings with one cheap deal.

I'm no help really, hope you find somewhere, Sorry we're not in Wales though!!!
