what happens if flights are cancelled.

Find some of this thread rather intriguing about flight cancellations on 29th September was this due to the French air traffic control or Ryanair themselves.Reason being we were due to fly out of Faro. Flight 2504 to Leeds Bradford at 16.20
We boarded plane then were disembarked the reason given was technical problems, we knew nothing of strikes affecting Portugal. Just wondered if Ryanair were jigging their flights. Although it seems odd that they would board us. Eventually flew out 8 hours late0
