What has been your single best win?

I'm new to this comping malarky and am now entering my second month and I love reading the IWIWIW board (and the photo thread in particular) to see what amazing things people have won!

I was wondering what the best singular win you've ever had has been? Doesn't have to be the most expensive, but what is the prize that you've been most excited to have won?

I have only been comping since June but my best win is definately the trash the dress photoshoot (worth £500! wow) Not because of the value but because it is something I wanted but couldn't afford. I haven't even been on it yet and I am so excited because I get to prance about in a pretty dress feeling gorgeous :)

I get excited winning anything, but the most satisfying for me has to be any of the dailies, you plod on day after day and the satisfaction finallywinning it is enormous lol. I get excited everytime the postie comes or a delivery van arrives in the street, and it's thanks to all the lovely people who take time out to post them all up :)

Two biggest wins to date have been a laptop and an iPad, also won an Xbox 360. Loads of smaller wins too.

Best wins for me to date in my official first year of addictve comping has been a grand of the pepsi comp, and a cosmetic dentistry prize for wife that includes botox and dermal fillers crowns and whitening valued from their own website at about 4,000 in total. but have to say its he little wins that keep popping through the letterbox or delivered by the vans that give you the will to carry on, if it wasnt for those little wins i would have probably given up by now thats how important they are!

:j Have just watched the soaps in front of the HUGE TV Mr GB won. We collected it yesterday and are like Cheshire cats :D! (Sill lovin' you Laks :A!) This is one of my favourite wins as Mr GB kept nagging to buy one, but I was determined to win one !
:j Most valuable prize was probably our "Live the Rich List" break at Cliveden (Berkshire) which included spa treatments, champagne picnic on vintage cruiser, fine wine & dining etc. WeeOwen is still fondly thought of for that one...:T Guessing it'd be a 4 figure prize given the suite we stayed in was £960 per night !
:jWas pretty chuffed to win a Barbie (Plush, who I miss loads, posted that one) for adored grand-daughter too, so lots of "Happy, happy, Joy joy!" with our hobby!:j

ETA - Oh and rugby tickets always a big hit, as were our Status Quo ones :)

My biggest win was a week at a luxury spa resort in Austria. It was worth £8000 and was an amazing once in a lifetime experience living like a millionaire,I have to say though the little wins are every bit as important I love the make up and bath goodies that occasionally drop through the letter box.
Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Birmingham Childrens Hospital caring for my tiny and very poorly grandson who was born at 29 weeks. Thanks to them he is getting a little stronger every day.:A:A:A

Been comping since February had two wins the best was my Simply Red tickets I love Mick .... had a fab time
I also love reading what others have won .... I sit here night after night entering and when I feel I just cannot enter anymore, I have another look at what others have won and it spurs me on to keep at it .... might of only had two wins in all these months but I'm sure my next one wont be too long ..... another Simply Red win would be amazing ......
So if you haven't had a win lately, check out what others have won it'll make you want to enter more and more and more
Thank you to all the people that post the comps :T
  • Ive only been comping about a month and my best win so far has been tickets to see Britains Next Top Model Live. I can't wait to go! Price is nothing - i prefer my BNTM tickets to the bluray player! :D

Daily wins are amazing though. That Scotch parcel one does my head in every time a little box pops up. The one time i got a 50p off voucher i went insane :p
Redundancy isn't fun - comping is!

my best wins are definetly the weekend breaks i have 4 kids at home (all boys) so its bliss to get away with hubby for a couple of days now and then i have been comping since feb this year and have had 3 breaks away not costing us a penny, DH and i have just returned on saturday from newcastle where we stayed at the marriot hotel was greeted with wine and canopies, the room was fab too a whole kingsize bed without a 2yr old jumping in :) we were treated to a 3 course meal with wine at the six rooftop restaurant we had the most expensive on the menu the steak and it was lush, it was all a bit of a rush but we had a fab time think the best part of the whole journey was the first class train journey home we had to go a detour and took us double the time it did to get there hubby had numerous snacks and cups of tea whilst i sat with a few voddies (dont think the old man in the seat next to us approved lol)
as gazzarh says its the little wins that keep u goin, dont know wat i would do without the comping now :)
best win in 2011:eek: 4 nights in Las Vegas
    2011 wins £8,752.00
