Hi AsimScot how long did you wait for a responce to your application? Also have you a degree? Just wondering as i applied a couple of weeks again and heard nothing but i dont have a degree so might not get in for that reason. Did everyone that didnt get in get a thanks but no thanks email or were they just left wondering? Thanks x
Hi summer78, I know you were asking AsimScot, but I thought I could help. I applied at the end of October and I received the test from them on Tuesday.
I completed the test and sent it back on Wednesday. I got an email back saying the test is part of the screening process and they would be in touch when more information is available. I'm not sure if this means I've passed the test or if they haven't marked it yet?
Good luck. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.0 -
just got an email from butler hill about signing the NDA within 24 hours from docusign. How many weeks is their training for? And it requires 2 hours before training shift for reading up or something didnt understand that bit? Also, are you reviewing any !!!!!! sites wife wont be happy.
Also, the NDA is from docusign rather than buterhill right they send you a pdf file with no link to website.
Azim, in your phone/ skype interview you were told there would be adult content involved in some cases
To those asking about the wait, I applied about a month and a half ago, got an email with the tests 2 weeks later, a phone interview last week, and was told the next day that i am on the "reserve list", apparently because there are many holidays coming up in the US so most projects will start after Xmas. Generally if you're in, they tell you straight away. The only thing we know for sure, is that we know nothing0 -
I only just found this thread so thought I ought to share my experience of the Butler Hill application process.
I applied for an evaluator position at the end of last month after Butler Hill kept popping up when I was having a scout around for work-from-home companies that hire linguists (my undergraduate degree was in Linguistics).
I received the test four days after my application, completed it that evening and sent it back straight away. The next day HR emailed me requesting an interview. As I had a busy week ahead I booked it in for the week after.
The interview was a straightforward behavioural and competency check, although it felt more like a friendly chat than a work interview. My interviewer didn't ask any questions about my test but did ask things like:Can you tell me about a time when you received conflicting instructions at work?and:What is the most interesting international news story you've read today? As with Sammyantha's interview, I was asked questions about the software I use and about my ability to deal with technical issues. Also, like her, I received an email the next day advising that I am on the reserve list for projects due to start in the next several weeks.
I'm looking forward to it and, reading through this thread, it sounds as though some of us may be training together!0 -
I take it those of you that are on the reserve list have been told when the training is? I was wondering as I was told once my application was accepted, but thats maybe because I'm a jonny come lately!0

As an update, I just signed my contract and NDA. My training starts in December. Squee!
I'm really looking forward to this.0 -
Those of you having concerns - I can confirm that this is a real job and not a scam - I know its hard to believe but there are genuine work from home jobs out there - just few and far between. Also when I did my training - one of the guys on the course had waited 3 months before they accepted him - so be patient.
