same here ... cant see why having 1-2 years at uni would be a criteria0 -
I used to work for AQA and their application required education to degree level, which I dont have but I still got in. I wouldnt let it stop you from applying.“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

Thanks for this. Just applied, though I don't hold out much hope as I don't have a university education. I work for AQA too though! Worth a try anyway and at least it prompted me to finally sort out my CV!

Hi - sorry for the delay but Im really busy!!
I havent got a university education - a lot of it is just common sense and very straightforward as long as you can use a computer and like surfing the web!!
English is my only language so not sure where the bilingual part comes into it? It took a couple of weeks for them to contact me and arrange a 30 minute telephone interview via skype (so doesnt cost anything) - it was a very general chit chat talking about like/dislikes experience etc - it was very informal
Again a couple of weeks later they said that I would take part in the 30 hours training (you can select your slots) which you get paid for about £8 per hour. You then have to take an exam at the end of it to display what you have learnt - if successful you get taken onto the project.
Just as a note - if everytime you looked at a job spec and thought I havent done that I dont have all of the requirements you would never go for anything. Sometimes you have to 'stretch the truth' a little - to get the doors to open for you :rotfl:Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Oh, I agree with you there! Everything's worth a try!
The only thing is, I have worked for Lionbridge, in a similar role, so I don't know whether that will go against me...but we shall see!0 -
Just spent all evening making a cv for this. Fingers crossed i get hired! It sounds perfect and beats the cleaning jobs ive been opting for to try get an extra income.
Good luck to everyone who has gone for a position! Many thanks to the OP.0 -
