Locked draw! :(

I have a small draw in my kitchen which will not open- its jammed shut!

I have tried everything I can think of: pulling on the handle very very hard, unscrewing the underneath of the draw (did nothing) poking about with a knit in the 0.5 inch space I can open the draw to...

Anyone have any other ideas?

I cannot think exactly what is stopping the draw open but know inside the draw there are lots of various sized cardboard boxes such as boxes of sweets, tin foil, pill boxes...

I am going slightly mad trying to open the draw, I need whats inside it!

Anyone have a plan I could try?

Thanks for reading.

  • Didn't the contents of the drawer fall out when you removed the bottom?

Fish slice / spatula you need to push obstruction to the back of the draw , then you can get your hand

I keep a straightened wire coat hanger with hook intact in my kitchen for this express purpose. I too, have that drawer(/draw).

Do you have a bendy palette knife that you can put through the gap and push the offending object backwards.
