It's just the lull before the storm. The same thing happened last year. Everyone on the thread had helped each other find what they were looking for so it went quiet. Then all of a sudden, all those who suddenly realised it was time to start their Christmas shopping started looking for the must have toys only to find that they were already either in short supply or sold out then they all descended on the MSE forums trying to find the toys. So we're all just putting our feet up ready for the onslaught :rotfl:

Monster High Dolls and Chatimals seem to be very popular with the younger school age kids. I was speaking to a few of my friends and all their kids had asked for them on their Christmas lists.

Hi MaxiMouse, i see you are on the hunt again to help with the must have toys this year.

Well i definately won't be on a mad hamster hunt again this year, they were a great source of entertainment during the xmas holidays and have never been out since. my OH said they were the biggest waste of money ever.

I'm absolutely stumped this year as to what to buy my DS, he doesn't know what he wants, He is 10, so any suggestions would be great.

We are thinking a meccano set, and some air fix models as he likes "Doing" things.

Guitar giant Gibson has sued WowWee and a number of retailers selling the Paper Jamz line.
The Paper Jamz range includes guitar shapes based on several Gibson models - Les Paul, SG, Explorer and Flying V. But WowWee is vowing to stand its ground and said in a statement: "WowWee is of the view that Gibson’s claims are without merit. WowWee stands by its products and is vigorously defending against the claims."
It seems that Gibson wants to license the trademarked designs, and is actually hoping to get WowWee to pay up for the designs and then still get the benefit of increased demand for the real guitars.
But the guitar maker is also going after the various retails selling the Paper Jamz offerings, filing against Walmart, Amazon, Big Lots, K-Mart, Target, Toys R Us, Walgreens, Brookstone, Best Buy, eBay, Toywiz and HSN.
