No worries. At this rate everyone I know is going to end up with something meerkat related. They've just added a meerkat plush in a box for only £8.00, which comes with a poster and ticket to get in to whipsnade zoo. Great price if you ask me.0 -
I got my little one the meerkat chatimal. I was very surprised how loud it was, when trying it out and the kids was downstairs. Trying to shut it up before kids heard, i have never stuffed something back in the box so fast, lol. I know the full family will keep making it say 'Allan', everytime we go to a zoo the kids stand watching them shouting Allan,Allan,Allan. Still makes me laugh every time.0

I met a friend for coffee in M&S today and took Oscar the chatimal which she wanted for her daughter for xmas. We got a few amused looks when the chatimal kept repeating what I had primed it to say "Sara you'll get fat eating that cream cake" :rotfl:
For those of you who haven't heard of Chatimals before there are currently 3 types of Chatimal Hamster in the UK: Sophie (brown and white), Oscar (ginger and white) & Max (grey and white) and one type of Chatimal Meerkat (meerkat brown - well, what other colour could he be!). All the Chatimals act the same and the only difference is the type / colour. Chatimals are loved by all and are for children over 36 months up to adults (I can predict this being an office desk favourite!!!).
All you do is press the left paw, speak to the Chatimal, it records your voice for a few seconds then repeats it back to you in a random squeaky or low pitched hamster voice – even its little lips move when it is talking back. Its hilarious! Of course, you have to be careful what you say when you are in the vicinity of the Chatimal, as it will repeat it to anyone within earshot. See this youtube video which gives a good example of what it does...

I bet they are just doing that because Argos have 25% off @ £14.99 but they are OOS at Argos anyway. Smyths had them for £12.99 a few weeks ago before they first sold out - again to compete with Argos. Amazing how prices can fluctuate depending on what competitors do.:snow_laug Maximouse loves the build up to Christmas :santa2:0 -
I wish someone would reduce the price of the Monster High dolls... I went to get the last 2 the day they went back up to 14.99 again
Also after a DSI in Pink and Red and all the cheap deals for those seem to have gone too0 -

£129.99 in Argos (£10 off) and free delivery - they have red and pink http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500002451&langId=-1&searchTerms=NINTENDO+DSI
Monster high dolls getting to be in short supply again so would suggest getting at the RRP before you can't get them at all.0 -
