Look I know its not always easy to accept but sometimes in this big bad city things can appear a bit unjust.

The Manchester Gestapo have to deal with all sorts.... they will have heard every plea... true or false..... every excuse.... valid or not..... heard every insult.... obscene or otherwise..... had every threat..... violent or not.

At the end of the day they no choice but to treat every non-payer with equal suspicion.

You wrote a letter and things sorted.

Count yourself lucky...... they will have had thousands of letters..... full of lies and also truth.

I got caught last month after running to catch a tram so not having time to buy a ticket. After stopping at the next station they made me walk to the subsequent one or wait while they took my details...... there were quite a number of us.....


Well the weather was nice and I do need the exercise.....

Anyone who's travelled on the last tram out of manchester on a Saturday night will testify to that.
